I listened to PP&M's music growing up, but this concert, the first of several concerts aired by PBS, is still the best of them all. It includes all the classic songs for which the trio is justly popular, as well as several songs from their then current album. I remember sitting and watching this cincert with one of my parents when it first aired, and we watched many times thereafter. Even though it was used a VHS, I found the picture and sound quality to be excellent, and again my only gripe is that is not on DVD. This music is good for both the mind and the soul, and I highly recommend it.

This is a wonderful concert that PPM did specifically as a fundraiser for PBS in the 80s. Sure, it's a lot of their greatest hits, but it has Noel Paul's wonderful El Salvador, which brought the audience to tears and to their feet. It also has has Right Field, one of the best songs ever about non-sports oriented children forced to participate. I loved this when I saw it on PBS.

Someone at PBS, please read this and bring it out on DVD; you would get lots of buyers, I can guarantee.

I respectfully disagree. I like this fully as much as the Christmas special. P,P, & M show the ways in which their music has developed ovrr 25 years, while including the classics for which we love them.

Includes Blowin' in the Wind and If I Had a Hammer, Leavin' on a Jet Plane, and of course, Puff the Magic Dragon.

Over the years I've had the privilege of seeing several of Peter, Paul & Mary Concerts. Each one was special because of where it was and who I was with. To me the 25th Anniversary Concert was just as thrilling. It was the old, it was the new, it was a time for joy and it was a statement of a the times. It was everything they were about. I really don't believe anything could top that.

This show is the best of all the tapes I have purchased. I grew up with this wonderfully talented trio. I saw them in concert in 1965 and enjoyed that performance as well. I could watch this tape every year and still have the feeling I was seeing it for the first time.

With this video you can experience the music of Peter, Paul and Mary featuring some of their hits. However, I enjoyed their Holiday Concert 1988 much more. It had both holiday and non-holiday music. It had a wonderful holiday spirit. This 25th Anniversary Concert 1986 just doesn't reach the inspirational and quality level of the Holiday Concert.
