This book has a tag that's long and made of sharp paper-like material. My 9 mo old son started choking on it when I decided to tear it off the book. In one tug the book split up the center of the page exposing the stuffing. I had to cut off the tag then find fusible webbing to contain the fabric page and its stuffing. If the manufacturer thought about this they would have made the tag of fabric and sewn it into the book horizontally or better still sewn a fabric patch flat onto the book or even better still just stamped the info onto the back of the book. If I wasn't there my child could have thrown up from gagging on the long tag, or torn the book and choked on the stuffing! I'm careful and my son is relaxed, so it would be very easy for other kids to get into trouble with this book. Other than that the book is cute and makes adults' hearts melt. The colors are a little muted though and this failed to capture my son's attention.

Soft and snuggly...sweet enough first book for baby. Overpriced though. One of my pages came with a snag which was very disapointing and I think the pictures and words are a little boring.

Perfect Book For New Baby February 28, 2009

Recently my oldest Granddaughter had a baby boy, my first Great Grandchild! The family of three( Mommy, Daddy & baby) will be visiting during Easter week, and of course I wanted something that would be suitable for that time. I have been a fan of Beatrix Potter since I was a child & was thrilled when I found "Peter Rabbit Snuggle" a book that a baby can snuggle with after he looks at the pictures of Peter & his friends. The cover of the book is soft & cuddly like fleece. The other deciding factor was that the book is made with Organic cloth, nothing to harm baby if he wants to "chomp" on the pages. It seems to me to be the perfect gift for a 6 month old baby. Now I just have to find a stuffed Peter Rabbit to complete the gift!
