Great functional tea pot!,

This tea pot is really the best tea pot out there. I was looking for a long time for something larger than a 1-2 cup size pot and finally found this one. It's dark (doesn't get unaesthetically dirty inside when brewing black tea, so no need to meticulously wash it on a daily basis), it has a good size (not for a doll/elf tea party as other manufacturers seem to think people enjoy) and the tea stays warm in it for quite some time. The only drawback of the pot is that it does tend to drip.

Great teapot!,

This is a great teapot and a great value. The quality was surprisingly good, especially for the price. I also ordered a British-made teapot (3 times the price) for a friend. The British one (one of many of these I've purchased over the years) had many defects in the pottery. So, go for the Peter Sadler pot. That's my recommendation.

Big brown tea pot,

I chose this tea pot because of its large capacity, just under 7 cups. My kettle holds 8 cups, so I can boil enough water to fill the tea pot plus a mug. I've had it for a couple of months now. The pot keeps the tea warm for quite a while, and the opening is big enough for me to stick my hand in to clean it. The color is nice too, a glossy, almost iridescent brown. It does have a slight tendency to dribble down the spout when pouring, but I can live with that.

If only one could be IN love with inanimate objects... This tea pot is perfect! For those who like to serve tea at parties or just to steep one large pot for yourself and have a few cups while you read, this tea pot does the trick. It holds plenty of tea, but if you over fill it, it WILL dribble down the spout after pouring. You can't expect too much though. It's sturdy, never threatening to tip over, and has a large, strong handle. I enjoy that it's easy to wash; you can either rinse it by hand or throw it in the dishwasher and it won't chip or break. Shipping was fast and it came in perfect condition. I'd definitely buy again or give as a gift.

This is a nice, sturdy little teapot that will give us many more years of daily use. We drink lots of iced black and green tea, which I make with teabags in the microwave. It is a little larger and heavier than the teapot I was replacing, but identical in appearance. My only complaint, a minor one, is that the spout is a bit drippy. This would matter more to someone who was pouring individual servings. Overall, very nice.

A serious tea pot for serious times,

This is a heavy-duty, large-capacity tea pot. It was exactly what we were looking for! Sure, the color is a bit drab (think classic onion soup crock), but it makes a lot of tea at one time, it won't break at the drop of a hat, and you're almost certainly not going to beat this price with anything comparable in size or quality. Highly recommended.

I was trying to get back into the practice of afternoon tea with my son.So I was looking for a nice pot that wasn't too large for two but, big enough if we had a couple guests. This is a perfect fit, it says it holds about seven cups of tea and I believe they mean seven 8oz.English cups not mugs. If you use the standard American mug it holds only five. It certainly isn't a problem for us and the pot it's self is well designed. It has a lid designed to stay in place when pouring, a nice sized spout, a sturdy handle and even a stream hole on the lid. I have been extremely pleased with this wonderfully simple little pot.

Good (very) large teapot, but does not work with Finum Brewing Large Basket,

The teapot itself is good, and it was larger than I had thought, which is good with me. My only caution is that the Finum Brewing Large Basket that Amazon.com sells does not fit well with this teapot, in fact you can not really use it without leaving the basket precariously and loosely inserted without the ability to close the lid of the teapot. I had purchased both items, thinking they were a good match - large teapot and large brewing basket seemed like a good idea at the time. since it was not worth returning either items, I am using the Finium Large Basket with the old (smaller) teapot whose lid broke.

Tis is the best teapot I've owned. It's deep with a big enough hole I can get my hand in to clean it or fetch out teabags if the strings fall in. I have been using five or six teabags in it for a full pot of tea. It pours well just be careful on the first pour as it can shoot tea out pretty far when full. It doesn't drip or leak. The top fits nicely and stay on pretty well. I like the color and the heavy glaze, this is a sturdy little classic type teapot.

Don't crack your teapot!,

After heat-stress-cracking and wrecking two teapots, I now treat my new one with TLC. I now preheat my teapot TWICE, first with HOT tapwater and then again with boiling water. This teapot is pretty much an exact replica of the Peter Sadler 8-cup (large) teapot that I bought 20 years ago, although they are no longer made in England.
