Wonderful to see this back in print[.] This book has 128 glossy pages, lots of color and a slightly bigger footprint than 'Mack Trucks" by the same author. Still plenty of photos severed by the book's binding though. Superb photography is very up-close, text informative, and the subjects varied. Ten chapters all up, with the last chapter including production numbers and model designations. The other nine chapters are entitled: Class from '39, Five decades of progress forges product of distinction, Rare survivor resurrected, Cavalcade of Classics, On the Road, At The Truck stop, On the Job, At The Show, and Modern Mastodons (new- generation Peterbilts) Peterbilt owners, restorers, collectors and truck enthusiasts in general have been given another chance to include this classic in their collection. Highly recommended

This review is from: Peterbilt: The Class of the Industry (Paperback)
This was the First book On Peterbilts Ever, Came out in 1989,MBI(im A little upset because i brought the original one, different red & white cover then i got this one thinking it was updated but it was not they are exactly the same!)
This was Done by Henry Rasmussen who I was told sadly passed away years back. Good Book. Lots of Classic Petes. The newest one even in the revised book is 1989!. so no New "Beterbilts' in this book after 89' sadly. But a Good Book for a Peterblt Library. Some Good Reading. And Alot of Pictures. I understand MBI is doing another Peterbilt Book by another author. So im hoping for more in depth and updated ones! in the meanwhile this and Warren A Johnson's book, and Ron Adams books will do! Classy book for a Classy Truck. And Hopefully MD MORGAN'S BOOK.

Thanks to Motorbooks for reprinting this-and-not putting additions to the original, or making deletions. This book is about old Peterbilts, the newest being 1989,classics in themselves today. As usual with Henry, excellent photos, and an adequate text. These trucks pictured are just not show trucks, but many are workers. Photos and text on the earliest Peterbilts are top notch!
