By Joe Nash (University of Kansas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peterson's Lsat Success (Paperback)
if you are buying only 1 book for lsat prep, don't buy this one. this book has some mistakes and really doesn't give you the help and guidence that you need to do well on the lsat. buy another book, not this one.

Worst of the lot,
By A Customer
This review is from: Peterson's Lsat Success (Paperback)
I would recommend any of the 5 LSAT prep books I read - except this one (The Best Test Preparation for the LSAT was especially good). Several glaring errors and no explanations to tests. The coaching section had a few good ideas, but I don't feel the content really merited the 60 page treatment. Don't get me started on the problems with the CD!

worst book ever published,
This review is from: Peterson's Lsat Success (Paperback)
this is quite possibly the least insightful book ever written. i have learned more worthwhile information about the LSAT from reading candy wrappers. the most maddening part of the book is that the answers to their practice tests are ridiculous. i don't know what those weasels at peterson's were drinking when they wrote this piece of garbage, but one would be better served to spend their $16.95 on a back alley lobotomy. unless you are hoping to score a 120 on the lsat, buy some other book. ANY OTHER BOOK! writing such trash should be a crime.

Obtuse study aids and a poorly designed CD Rom,
By cmcjiv@aol.com (Tokyo, Japan) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Peterson's Lsat Success (Paperback)
Big disappointment. I found the directions for just taking his diagnostic test to be obtuse and daunting at best. The CD Rom had many bugs. To be fair, the support service eventually got back to me, but their advice completely missed the point of what my problem was. My worst fears were confirmed when I finally did access the LSAT test on the CD Rom. The screens are poorly designed with too much information crammed into a small space. For example, for the reading section only an inch appears at the bottom of the screen which means you must scroll through when you go back to answer the questions. Imagine trying to read a long passage quickly skimming for facts when you can only see an inch at a time. What were they thinking when they designed that? There are many other examples of user unfriendly screens. Save your money as there is better software for the LSAT out there. Contact me if you would like to hear what I have found.

Disappointing,
This review is from: Peterson's Lsat Success (Paperback)
Would be a good guide for someone wanting to write questions for the LSAT (White divulges all the ways they can obfuscate the same question), but a failure as a a guide to actually answering the questions correctly and getting a high score. One of the biggest weaknesses is lack of explanations for wrong, but plausible answers to the practice tests. Also, the CD is a little buggy, and mediocre once you get it going.
