Book Description

Study Abroad 1998 November 1997
England, Italy, Mexico, China -- this year nearly 100,000 students will study in these and dozens of other countries for a once-in-a-lifetime learning experience. Their choices of where to go and what to study are truly mind-boggling, but there is one resource they can depend on: Study Abroad 1998.

The brand-new edition of this trusted guide helps readers explore, through words and hundreds of stunning photos, over 1,500 accredited programs offered by more than 350 U.S. and international colleges and universities. As they travel through its pages, readers will find they can:
-- Search semester and full-year programs easily by country and city and by fields of study and sponsoring and host institutions
-- Get advice on passports, visas, and ID cards; arranging for college credit; and staying healthy with the "Travel Smart" guide
-- Discover hundreds of internships and voluntary service opportunities around the world

International experience is not just educational and personally rewarding, it's also a great way to add distinction to academic credentials and resumes. With Study Abroad students and their families can plan successful learning experiences.

"...should top the required reading syllabus of anybody considering a foray into foreign academia". -- Dallas Morning News

This review is from: Peterson's Study Abroad 1998: Over 1,600 Semester & Year Abroad Academic Programs (Paperback)
"The Student's Guide To The Best Study Abroad Programs" by Greg Tannen and Charley Winkler is much better. The Peterson's Guide gives you a lot of names to choose from, but no information, really, other than that...
