Disappointed Amazon,

I received my Le Petit Chalet birdhouse from Amazon. This is going to be a Xmas gift. The item's box was torn in several places and when I opened the item, there were several of the pieces broken that needed to be glued. It seems the person who reviewed this product before me also had the same trouble. The product also was very dusty. This should not be. Amazon packaged the birdhouse box in a larger box, therefore greater handling of the product should have happened. So disappointed. This isn't the first time I ordered a product (non-book) from Amazon that came defective, damaged or looking worn and used. I expect better Amazon. Stick to selling books.

Very cute. However, the first I received was obviously tossed around. The box was ripped and several pieces of the house were unglued or broken. Amazon replaced it promptly and the second was in better shape, but I still had to glue a few pieces. I can't imagine that this birdhouse would be used for anything but decorative purposes indoors, which is where mine will be. If it does not survive shipping, how would it ever survive the outdoor elements? If you want an outdoor birdhouse, stay with the basic house a bird will use.
