I've only had this product for a week or so but it is wonderful. I don't know how it will weather yet. The instructions say to coat it with a layer of water based varathane, but there is no spray form of this so I would have to buy a can and literally coat the whole thing. Not my idea of a fun time so I will have to wait and see. My only other two gripes are that price went down right after I bought it, and the mounting pole I bought separately was made of wood and not really the greatest product to bury in the dirt - which I had to do for my application. But where are you going to find a birdhouse this beautiful?

Bought this as a gift for my mom's birthday. She loved the little details -- a woodpile, flower boxes, a rocking chair, etc. Very nice craftsmanship. Not sure how it would hold up outside in the elements, because my mom wouldn't consider putting it outside! Overall a very nice birthday or mother's day gift.
