This is a great little pet bed! I have a hairless dog who tends to get a bit...well, VERY chilly in the winter. I have seen these beds before, but they seemed a little pricey ($50-60). Finally, I looked up burrow beds on Amazon, and here it was!
When the bed arrived, I was immediately impressed with the quality. The outside is made of a thick, almost upholstry-type fabric, and it is lined with faux-lambswool. The bed part is so cushy and inviting, I couldn't help but stick my head in there! The cover is stiff enough to provide an envelope for your pet to crawl into, but it folds around them nicely, like a thick blankie.
It is machine washable, a definate plus! The color is similar to the picture: kind of a cadet blue with a subtle stripe pattern, and the inside is cream colored. My pup had NO reservations about heading in there! I tossed a toy in it and she ran right in! She's in there as I type this, poking her nose out every so often to say "THANKSMOM!"
A great buy for chilly pets--now if they could only make one in MY size!

This bed is wonderful for dogs that love to burrow under the covers. It is washable and has a hidden zipper in the back of the bed under the burrow portion where the inside pillow may be removed. The bed is completely encased with fabric!!

My two dogs are very picky about what kind of pet beds we bring home to them. This particular bed was a winner straight away. My one dog likes to burrow under any covers she can find, this bed is perfect for her! She loves to burrow then peek out. This is a really good bed!

I have two Devon Rex cats that spend most of their time looking for warm spots to nap, so I thought they might enjoy this bed.
First impression out of the box: the bed padding is unexpectedly soft and fluffy. The inside of the bed is lined with very warm, comfortable fleece.

The "flap" is soft and floppy, and your furry (or not so furry) friend will very easily burrow into it and find a comfy, warm spot.

But the real test was to find out whether my cats would like it. They're usually pretty finicky when it comes to new beds or toys, but it was not the case with this one. As soon as I put it on the floor, my oldest cat inspected it, burrowed under the flap, sniffed, turned around a couple of times, started purring and settled down for a couple of hours. The little cat soon followed. Good thing there's plenty of room for the two of them in this model!

A great comfortable bed for pets who tend to be cold and like to sleep covered.

After buying several beds for my 8 pound miniature dachshund, I originally bought the smaller version of this bed. It was too small for him to burrow into, but he would not leave it alone.
I ordered the larger one, and he has been in heaven ever since. He loves this bed.
It has enough room for him to comfortably change position, even sleep on his back. And there is enough room with the top flap that he isn't restricted.
I have read other reviews where tipping over was a problem, but haven't once had it with this bed.
If you have a smaller short haired dog, particularly a dachshund who love to burrow, this has been the best bed I have ever purchased. Well made, washes great.
P.S. The smaller bed went to my daughter for her cat, and he loves it.

I have a 26 pound mix and he loved this bed!! He loves to sleep under the covers at night so I though this would be great for his crate. Well I was right-- now he even lays in his crate when I am home. The bed is that comfey. He hasn't figured out how to get under the "covers" himself so I do it for him. Would recomend. Nice quality too!

I was very disappointed with this purchase. The bed does not have nearly enough filling in it. I have ceramic tile and when my dachshund goes into it she sinks to the floor. No, she is not one of those grossly overweight ones that you see waddling around town. LOL I guess if you have padded carpeting then the bed would be fine but if you are planning on using this bed on hard surfaces then I don't recommend it.

My wieners love to burrow and adore this bed. This size is perfect for 2 mini dachshunds.

I bought this for a pet rabbit and he is absolutely in love with it. It is 5 times his size so he enjoys jumping in, getting lost and burrowing into the back. He also lays and sleeps on the bed comfortably. The bed is bigger than I thought it would be, but still is only suitable mostly for small pets (small to medium sized dogs would love this too).

This is the best purchase I've made for the rabbit and he's definitely happy with it. Excellent value all around.

For dogs that like to burrow, this is the answer! My Min Pin loves this bed and it works for all weather situations; when it's warm she lays on top, when it's cold she burrows in under the cover that folds down over her like a blanket. This bed works better than the ones with the flexible pole that keeps the cover open because it allows true "burrowing dogs" to completely disappear from sight if they want to. I've washed the zippered cover (and even the stuffing sack) in my washing machine and then thrown both pieces in my dryer and they come out beautifully.
