I bought this for my persian cat when her old Le Bistro feeder just got too grungy to use any more (after nine years). I must have been asleep at the wheel when I ordered it (hey it looked just like the old one in the picture) just four times as big. These feeders work great for almost any shape dry pet food. This size holds about half a 17.5 pound bag of Science Diet adult cat food. Now Murphy has enought chow at any given time to weather the odd catagory five hurricane, or a nuclear attack.

We purchased this to make sure our pets had plenty of food readily available while we were away on vacation. Our house sitter enjoyed not having to worry about keeping up with feedings throughout the day. All she had to do was check the level and relax.
The downside of the feeder is you can't control how much your pet eats and it's not so great with larger food. It tended to clog up with our dog food but be great for the cat food. Our dog had to paw at the food to get it to drop out for her.

I own both the feeder and the waterer. The feeder was an excellent idea because cats "usually" don't over eat. It was great until I got a cat who thought it was meal time whenever she passes it. She gained ten pounds! We had to stop using it. We are still using the waterer. It's good to know that our two cats can have fresh water whenever they want it. I change the water about ever four to five days. You do need to have pretty good hand/eye coordination when you are putting the full jug on the base. It is like trying to replace the jug on a water cooler, but on a smaller scale.

I personally love this product. Since day one, this product saved me tons of time. Before I bought this feeder, I would get off work at 6 am to get home to find my cat clawing at my ankles to get fed. Now, I don't have to worry about feeding the cat and I can actually come home, feed MYSELF, and go to bed. Thank GOD for this product. Totally worth the money! Now all I have to do is buy the matching water machine to go with it!

Not mechanically outstanding or amazing...but it does the job. I must warn you, it does not limit the amount your cat/cats imbibe so gorging is a possibility for those of you who monitor and/or feed your felines the "correct" amount based on their size, age and weight but for a two to four day excursion away from your pets, this is an excellent buy for an excellent value!

The product is sturdy and easy to clean. I hope it will last for a long time. The only problem I've found, is that if you don't have a good hold on the bottom, when picking up, you can knock the top loose and food will spill out. So, always have a good hold on the bottom:)

I have used this unit for 5 years and it works as advertised. I fill it and my cats jus help themselves to food any time they want. Fill and forget until it gets near empty. One small problem is the food if it gets low in container you may have to use youe finger to help fill the frount food area but, it sure beats a food bowl!

I ordered this product before a week-long vacation so that my catsitters wouldn't need to worry about re-filling my two cats' regular feeding dish. Each day they reported that there was plenty of food already in the bowl and that there were no blockages of any kind. The food flows freely from the storage area into the feeding bowl. The product is very sturdy when filled with food. Keeps food fresh. Since our vacation, the 10-lb feeder has become our cats' regular dry food bowl and I have not experienced any problems. I also own the matching Le Bistro water bottle with the same high-quality results.

This auto-feeded replaced another that I had for 10+ years. What I didn't like about that one was that you had to maneuver the tank back onto the bowl while filled, usually resulting in much spillage. This feeder conveniently has a removable top seal that you can open, fill with food, and replace very easily. The food sometimes doesn't have enough "slant" to get all the way into the food bowl, but most cats are smart enough to use their hand a bit to get the flow going. The size is great for a small space in my kitchen.
