Not quite as large as I expected it to be. Didn't work well with my new puppy as she just wanted to pull on the lining which isn't stitched down. My cat likes it however so not a total loss.
We like to keep our house on the cool side, but we like to provide warm, snuggly places for our two cats. We have a number of pet beds around the house, but this is by FAR our female cat's favorite. She climbed in it the moment I placed it down and now, almost two weeks later, it's her "go to" bed in the house for naps. When I reach in to pet her, I'm amazed at how warm it is! No wonder she loves this bed so much - it holds their body heat extremely well and keeps them toasty. By the way, we've tried other beds in this exact same spot in my home office, but none have been so popular. I also love that this cover has a zipper and can be machine washed and dried. We're picking up two more of these because they keep the kitties amazingly warm! Our Girl Kitty is 10 lbs. I would recommend this bed for a cat up to about 16 or 17 lbs. Of course, always check the dimensions on pet equipment before you buy it. There's no reason to be surprised by the size of something when it arrives if you simply check before you place your order.
