I wasn't sure what to expect on this door, as far as how it fit. Even the actual package had this picture of a dog sitting in the opening of an igloo doghouse -- with no door in sight. It's like the Mystery Product.

I have uploaded a bad cell phone camera picture here on amazon (sorry about quality - and light, we're having a storm) so you can see it actually on an igloo doghouse.

* The door is slightly triangular in shape, smaller at top. This confused me at first because the opening does not seem that shape. (It isn't, actually.)

* The Igloo has some built-in screwholes a few inches inside at the top-sides of the opening area. You're supposed to screw it in before you put the top of the igloo on. We already had it put together but managed anyway.

* The door is a soft rubber/plastic, about the thickness of a silicon baking mat for example, but a little firmer. It's not stiff.

* The door is about 90% opaque. It's not white but it's definitely not 'clear' either. I had the impression that you could see through it when I bought it. Being able to see 'through' it well is very important to cats. But you really can't much. Bummer.

* The flap (it's a 'rubber flap' not a 'door') doesn't come down to the bottom edge of the doghouse. Also it sits "inside" the house a bit.

So when they make remarks regarding protection from rain, understand that the only rain this will protect the animal from is sideways driving rain, and at that, it still would be puddling up below on the front side of the flap after hitting it -- which is INSIDE the doghouse. Maybe you want to slightly elevate the other side of the house so rain will stay pooled near the door and not the rest of the house (esp if you have a heater in there).

In all honesty, I realize this is a custom/specialty product for a specialty item, but given the nature of it, I think it is overpriced and ought to cost about half what it does, especially since prime shipping isn't available.

Medium Dogloo is a great Catloo! This will work for cat & a little dog: put the outdoor rubber rug on top of the entrance of Indigo home, sides of the rug hanging to the ground, or to the floor (rubber side-up, carppet side-down). It's not too beautiful, but very functional, even better than the door. It'll extend the home and protect the pet from the rain, snow and wind.

This is a very nice item it helps keep my dog sheltered from wind and rain. I ordered for next day shipping the cost was insane but other than that it did arrive and was easy to install.

This cover is not for hyper dogs who go in and out of the igloo. Either that or the cover does not stand up to the elements, winds or snow blowing through. Also how its snapped onto the igloo does not last long. Mines ended up being torn up and had to remove it. The dogs seem to enjoy it though because it blocks alot of wind. However I felt in there a couple of times and it was still a little chill, even with a heated blanket. But that is for the igloo review. Maybe something made of more dog-resistant material or better snaps would make this a much better product.

Not the most water tight / airtight design out there. Not sure what good its actually doing.

I've noticed our dogs hanging out in their igloo more now that we have the door. It keeps the wind out and it keeps it a lot warmer in there. The product was exactly as displayed. Can't complain, works great. And easy install too!

This Indigo Dog House ( medium ) is waht I wanted to keep these two outdoor cats that have adopted me ,warm and sheltered. A bit costly but, the best price I found in all my research. I am glad I did it for them.

This Petmate Indigo Dog House Door does not fit the dog house very well. Leaves about 2" at the bottom exposed/open. It's better than no door at all, but could fit a little better.

It is, as the other reviewer's have stated, not large enough for the actual doorway. I just needed something to keep the leaves and most of the rain out of the house. My dogs barely use the house. I bought it when they were puppies and they don't actually sleep outside. They prefer my bed. They do, however, use it during play. They chase each other in and out of the house. The flap hardly makes them pause. It provides no impediment to entering. If your dog(s) live outside, it would be inadequate. It would not provide much protection from the temperature extremes nor would it keep the rain out of the entry. It really needs to be larger on the bottom and both sides by an inch or so. When the wind blows it provides no protection at all. The weight of the door is light and it blows into the house during gusts. It is very windy at my house and I had to place the entry away from the prevailing wind direction or it would not have provided even minimal protection.

No problems with this product. The door fits the doghouse perfectly, providing a dry, warm haven for the little dogs who live there.Petmate Indigo Dog Home - I can't verify that this dog home specified corresponds with the door I purchased - please double check before purchasing.
