I just bought this carrier yesterday to bring a new cat home in. I picked it up at the local Petco store for about two dollars more than it is listed for here. While at the store I checked out all of the different models and brands. Though I was not impressed with any of them, the color scheme on this model was nice and the plastic moldings on this brand seemed just a bit better than the competition. So far, I am pleased with the purchase. This thing was easy to assemble (there are only three parts) and now that it is together it seems stronger that I would have guessed it would be. The handle is good quality and strong and the built in storage compartment in the top is a nice feature.

Unless you want to spend a lot more, I recommend this as the best buy out there!

I ordered 2 of these kennels and they are great for my cats (9-12 lbs). I had a larger kennel before and the center of gravity wasn't good because there was too much room for the cat to move around in. This is a nice sturdy product.

If I had bought this for the size of pet they recommend, I would have returned this item. It is definitely not worth the original $40 price. The plastic is of thin quality and the food and water dish included is ridiculously small. Also, the door rattles horribly in the car!! THAT BEING SAID, I did buy this for my little Chihuahua, who is only 3lbs but a little too tall for a small sized kennel, and this kennel works perfectly for him. If he were any heavier the handle would come off and the bottom would sag - but since he's tiny this kennel is perfect for him, I would def recommend this item to anyone needing a taller kennel for a tiny dog with longer legs. But NOT for any pet over 5lbs!!!

Bought this at our local Target store, thanks to a previous review. The only color they had was light blue, but that was ok. The kennel is very sturdy; we bought it for our new 8 week old kitten, but our 7 year old cat is actually quite fond of it. She is 10lbs, and fits in very comfortably. I like the quality and the way it snaps together. The storage compartments on the top were a little hard to open, but I like the way the food/water dish fits in them. The door is very sturdy, as well.

This is a great kennel for the price. I could actually fit both my cats in it... well, if they wouldn't kill each other. The snaps that connect both halves of the kennel together are very sturdy. It's also great that you can collapse the whole thing for easy storage. The door is also removable, so my cats use theirs as a bed.

We recently purchased this item from a retail pet supply store, hoping to bring home a cat adopted from our city shelter. Upon returning to our home and taking the carrier out of the car, the plastic latches holding the entire kennel together FAILED. Our new cat fell out when the bottom of the kennel hit the ground and he promptly ran away down the street, never to be seen again.

Don't waste your time and money with any kennel that uses plastic latches to hold the top and bottom halves together. Stick with kennels that use screw assembly, they can withstand almost anything. This was a hard learned lesson for our entire family.

I love the product. Its cute, pink, sturdy, and my little Chihuahua likes it. However, I did see them at my local Target store for only $14-something, so taking that price difference into consideration plus whatever I paid for shipping, I probably ended up paying too much with this seller.

I bought this for my 12 pound cat. While he has plenty of room in there the clasps holding the top & bottom together could be better. They held but I was nervous carrying him into the vet. Next time I use it I'm planning on using a bungee around it.

I got this kennel to use when picking up my rescued bichon in another state. It was a good size and easy to assemble although made of flimsy plastic. The first time I used it with her, some of the clips came apart and the door would not stay latched. Scary for a dog that's not used to being carried and is afraid of noise. No matter what I do, the door still won't stay shut, but swings open. Thankfully Scarlett has not fallen out, but I'm afraid to use the kennel now. She's 20#, so within the recommended size range. I'm very disappointed in this product.

Petmate makes the best pet carriers/kennels. This particular one is their usual quality -- very sturdy. The medium size accommodates my Maine Coon Cat who only weighs 10 pounds but is of very large body size (as most Maine Coon Cats are!). Petmate is excellent quality and very reasonably priced -- great value!
