Doggie steps too narrow. December 25, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
I am disappointed in these steps. They are too narrow and the steps too small. My dogs, Yorkies, are used to steps, but do not feel secure on these steps.

dog stairs October 1, 2010

Could be a little more stable, will slide on tile or wood floor, maybe spending a little more money would get you a better item that dog would not be afraid of.

DO NOT BUY! December 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
Foolishly, I imagined that even plastic steps that cost over $50 must be OK, especially after reading the positive reviews. HA! These are so cheap and flimsy, my senior arthritic cat, who is very comfortable using steps, was afraid to get on them, and even just stepping lightly on the bottom step caused them to move. They are very unstable and wobbly, and way too lightweight even for something billed as lightweight. I can't imagine anything but a tiny kitten feeling safe on these. The "carpeting" is more like fuzzy paper--there's nothing to get a purchase on, and the rest of the step is very shiny, slippery plastic. Also, the cubby in the side that is pictured was nowhere in evidence.

Finally, be aware that the width given is for the bottom---the steps get narrower as they go up, so that the top step is about big enough for one paw. No way would I let my old girl try to navigate these even if she were game.I would have given this 0 stars if that had been an option.

I realize you get what you pay for, but I got a GREAT set of steps: TeleBrands Deluxe Doggy Steps for $21---the only reason I am buying a new set is that the ones I have are too short for her now. It's getting harder for her to jump up from the top step to the bed, so I wanted to get something a few inches higher. The telebrands steps are 5 years old and going strong--I moved them to the couch and expect them to last far longer than I ever imagined. But that brand doesn't make a higher set of steps, so I took a chance on these---big mistake! Now I am stuck sending them back and starting from scratch looking for something more stable and secure.

Would not purchase these
Stairs are made of cheap plastic and are to skinny and steep for dogs to walk up and down. I have to weiner dogs that will not even go on them.

My dog won't use it so it was a waste of money. I just bought it, does anyone want to buy it from me?

Not for Chihuahuas and Unsafe Features for any Dog
I bought these for my 11 y/o chihuahua to get onto my bed. I posted a couple of pics of what they looked like set up in my home so you could get a better understanding of the size. Read more

Great
It took my dog a while to get used to this because it is a little flimsy. But it works great now. I would not recommend for dogs any bigger than 10lbs

Waste of money!
Do not buy this piece of junk! The plastic is super cheap, warped and the stairs will wobble from the tiniest amount of weight. Read more

Stairs II
This is an ideal item for average sized beds and sofas or chairs. But we recfently bought a pillow top bed and the stairs isn't high enough for our dog.
