I purchased this heater for my 6 year old sulcuta tortoise. She lives outside and sometimes, even in Florida it drops into the 30s.
This heater is perfect because it doens't get too hot. It is also good to use outside because it it plastic. It raises her house about 15-20 degrees.
Good heater... good price. good for outside.... and my turtle hasn't froze to death yet.

The box showed a dog sitting directly on top of the heating element which gives the wrong impression. While it does work great, it gets much too warm for an animal to be directly on it. It must be placed under a pet bed or pillow.

Outdoor pet heater is great for my outside cats. I put it under a medium sized shipping kennel, add a towel or blanket and they enjoy it all night.
The shipping was slow.. I had several other orders after this one and they all came very promptly..Fianally the heater got here, but I had to bring the cats in when I shouldn't have had too.
