5.0 out of 5 stars LIGHTWEIGHT and Easy to pack
I like this crate a lot! It's easy to fold up and compact. Lightweight. I bought the XL for my German Shepherd dog. She prefers to sit in it without the faux sheepskin liner on the bottom- this could be because it is summer time. She is crate trained so we had no issues with her chewing it up. Nice crate, good price, can travel very easily. I like the soft carrier it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Petmate Portable dog crates
I borrowed the med. petmate crate to use in the car with my 2 month old lab. Worked great. So I ordered the large petmate crate and I have had it for four days and the zipper broke. Seems to be a problem with this product. So now the fun task of returning it or getting it fixed. They need to use a better quality zipper for as often as you use it.

I bought this product for our toy poodle puppy. It is a nice product, but I am very disappointed that my tiny puppy chewed zipper and broke it in a few days. My 3 pound chewed two spots, and then the zipper doesn't work anymore. How can this product be so weak!? I like the design, and my puppy was so comfortable in there, but it's useless as I can open/close the zipper at all! The company needs to improve the zipper part so that little innocent puppy cannot chew.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding travel crate, March 12, 2011

This crate is lightweight, reasonably priced, and folds easily. Flaps on all sides assist ventilation. It is designed to clean easily, but we have not had to do any serious cleaning.

It has been an outstanding sleep area for our year old mini-Aussie. We have had no problem with durability and used it nightly on a month long trip recently.

Our dog is not a chewer and I would not recommend this, or any, cloth crate for a dog who is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Light and sturdy, October 24, 2010

We previously had a steel crate that worked well but was inconvenient for traveling. We tried another fabric crate but it was cheap and was quickly ripped apart by one of my dogs. Since this crate was made of canvas, I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did - it is very well constructed and the material is heavy and sturdy. It's much more attractive than the steel crate or the cheaper fabric one. Best of all, it's light and portable, making traveling with my 2 small terriers easier. They both fit easily into the intermediate size (total weight of the 2 dogs about 40#). They sleep in it, and sometimes even go in there on their own during the day.

5.0 out of 5 stars DOGGIE HEAVEN, September 26, 2011

I purchased this not too long after we got my chi-poo, Vinny. He was 2 months old at the time and really tiny. I had never crate trained and wanted something that wasn't too big. I originally had one of those metal cages but that was so ugly and impersonal. I ordered this and was so happy when I saw it in person. It is so cute. It has the little "shades" on the side that can be rolled up so Vinny can look out his 'windows' or you can leave them down for more privacy. The front and the back of the bag both can be unzipped. It has a case that it came with the the bag fits in when it is flattened. It's really nice. It came with the typical pad on the bottom which work just fine. I just added Vinny's blankie and some of his toys. From day one, before any training, he loved this bag. He is a little over 1 year now and weighs 7.5 pounds and he still has plenty room in his bag. I have another bag that I use for flights but this one is fine for overnight road trips. I store it in its case and set it up when we got to my mom's house. He's kind of skittish and tries to run and hide from people he doesn't know BUT when he saw he start to set up his house. He ran right in and laid down. It's really comforting to him. I had no trouble training him and I think this bag helped a lot because he really likes it and considers it his safe haven. He doesn't even want to come out of it in the mornings. The bag has held up well and doesn't take up a lot of room. I keep it in my room under my desk next to my bed. This was an excellent purchase and I highly recommend.

I bought this for my 15-pound chihuahua mix; the 'small' size is a bit too small.

Other than that, I really like the design. It's cleverly put together, like a well-made tent, and does what it's supposed to do. Great alternative to a bulky, heavy crate!

This is an easy to set up, very handy portable pet crate. As soon as it is unzipped from its case, you zip up the sides to set it up. No tent poles to figure out, just the zippers. My terrier mix loves it (and the fleece mat which fits inside) and goes right inside. Screen windows give it lots of air circulation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review of medium travel crate., August 14, 2011
I purchased this travel crate for my 15lb Cavalier. He doesn't seem to like it much, but I love it. The windows roll up like a tent and it includes the mat. The crate is twice the size he needs, but the small seemed too little. I think he doesn't like it because he can't see out the windows of the car when I have him in it. However, it's perfect to take into places away from home so he has something familiar to hide in.
