Petmate's heavy duty super dog tieout stake is utilized for larger dogs up to 200 lbs. Contains 20 feet of super strong, galvanized aircraft cable, coated with crack –resistant vinyl that have a 4200 pound break strength.
This thing is awesome, solid and really holds itself in the ground. Rather than the corkscrew type it’s two augers that really dig in and hold itself in place. I used it at the beach and it worked perfectly for my two dogs, I had them both anchored to it and they are 60 & 70 lbs. Word of advice, take a 12” piece of pvc or a stick of some type to use as a handle and it will be much easier to twist this thing once you get it about 2/3 of the way in the ground. Place it through the handle and it will help get it flush with the ground. Great product!

My dog had surgery on her knee and I needed a way to let her get fresh air without her sprinting off and injuring herself worse. This really helped her in her rehabilitation to get some sun and fresh air but in a manageable state. Kept her staked while I gardened - I highly recommend this stake and its components are really solid and well made.

So far this has been a great buy!! I jab a very stubborn basenji, who is a escape artist on these types In the past. This one seems to hold up well especially since I bought the size for a bigger dog, even though he's only 20lbs. He is VERY strong. Also the cable has really been tangle free which amazes me.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do. It's high quality and sturdy for our very strong American Bully puppy. We bought it to tether her at our campsite this summer but the ground was too rocky. Now we keep it in the front yard for when the neighbors' kids come to play with her.

There's not much wrong with this product that I can see but my puppy hated it so much it traumatized him. I bought it so that he could stay outside without me and have more space to roam than in his playpen when he was young. I never left him out for more than a few minutes, he cried so much, then, after the first time of attaching him he wouldn't go anywhere that part of the garden, he would rather cut through undergrowth and bushes to get to the door when not tethered than anywhere near the pole or the Length of the leash. We used it a total of 5 times.
A couple of points I did note when using it: it's heavy, great for a larger dog but don't buy this for smaller breeds. The clasp is heavy duty but rusted within days, don't leave it out. Unless the ground is soft it's difficult to screw into the ground, even with the use of a large wrench.
