This is an excellent book, and a great souvenir of your trip.
I looked hard while in Jordan, and this was the best one.
Very good commentary, history, and photos. Author lives in Jordan.

Petra by Jane Clarke in a recent edition is hard to locate. The main attraction of th book is the beautiful photography. Despite several attempts I am still trying to obtain a copy in reasonable condition. The author knows her subject well and the forward is written by King Hussein. An excellent book but difficult to find and more difficult still if you want to enjoy the unspoilt photographs of Petra.

These books were just what I was looking for...perfect! And they were shipped in a very timely manner, I got them just a few days after I placed the order....very good response. Thank you.

As a Middle East and North Africa geographer who has worked in Petra for twenty years, this is a must have for your library. Well-written and beautifully photographed, it is obvious that the author knows and loves Petra. It is enjoyable to read, simple to use, and so beautiful to look at.

A must have for the serious scholar of Middle East studies, architectural history, or simply the interested arm-chair geographer!
