This adapter is a great deal for the money. I is easy to use and well it's an ac adapter. It works as advertised and I have had no problem with it in the devices that I have pluged it into.
The only thing I can say is a down side to this adapter is the 4 way end on it. It can be a little hard to plug into some devices because the connectors that you do not need some times get in the way.

I hooked a multimeter up to this brand new unit and noticed that at the 3-6 volt setting, it consistently output more than 9 volts, and at the 12 volt setting it was outputting as much as 17v. That kind of voltage could destroy something plugged into this unit. Based on my experience, do not rely on the voltage switch settings to provide consistent voltage as indicated.

the adapter worked fine and it did exactly what i wanted it for ... i really think it was worth the money.

We purchased this for the reason most people purchase a universal adaptor - to use when the product we have has lost it's partner. We've had it for some time now and recently pulled it out use with a Lego train set we inherited which requires one that but arrived without it. Unfortunately we couldn't even test this adapter out because of it's cross design. The female end where we need to attach the adaptor can not be accessed because it is in a recessed space much more narrow than the approximately 2 inch wide cross design of the adaptor.

If the point of the adaptor is to be universal then this one doesn't get it. We must now purchase another. Word to the wise - spend a few more bucks on something with a better design.
