I wish to make it clear that the 2001 review published below when I was at Oberlin College is NOT of this Oxford World Classics edition-- with which I am unfamiliar-- but rather of a previous Dover Thrift Edition.I am shocked that Amazon places reviews of different translated editions of the same title(s) interchangably. -David Shengold Philadelphia PA

This collection of Pushkin's short stories includes his masterpiece-The Queen of Spades-as wellas some of his other best stories. The translation is excellant. This book is recommened.
