4.0 out of 5 stars flavor & flair
We have the 98 version, which is now very out of date. But if this edition follows, it should be a winner. The guide has one page per listing - so depth rather than breadth. It gives you a flavor of each place and rates them on a 3-5 Paws scale. A nice touch is a charcoal drawing of each place rated. Use this with the AAA guide (for breadth). 1.0 out of 5 stars Information isn't up to date
I travelled with my dog last fall and used this book. About 1/2 of the information was out of date, and it was only a few months old. I wouldn't recommend it.

About 200 listings for New England, so it is far from comprehensive, but we've found a few great spots and the descriptions were quite accurate. One caution - if a place has changed owners, it may have changed drastically, so ask who the owners are when you call to reserve.
