My 85lb German Sheppard loves this tire, It took her over a year to final rip a peice off. Where as other products we have bought she's punctured and destroyed with a few hours of having it. I definitly recommneded this toy to anyone who has a chewer in the house.

This tire toy was a great purchase! My dog has not damaged after 2 weeks of play (golden retriever). It's a solid toy. She doesn't play with as much on her own, but loves to play tug with it or go fetch it when I roll or throw it. It has a minty taste according to the packaging, but does smell like a tire. Only thing to be careful of - it will leave black marks on light colored walls.

I have a German Shepherd/lab mix who destroys basically every toy but her classic Kong. We've had this for about a month now and it's still in good shape. It seems plenty durable for her strong chewing. The one thing that prevented me from giving it 5 stars was the fact that it is a little hard to hold comfortably. I got it to play tug of war since the rope bones don't last at all. I'd seen other tires that friends have that work really well. The difference between this tire and those tires is that the other tires are slanted inward so you can get a better grip on it when playing with the dog. This is like a miniature truck tire in that it is basically straight from the edge to the center. So it's a little uncomfortable to hold when the dog is pulling on it. Still, it works, it was cheap, and it's durable. So good enough for me.

I bought this product because I was trying to find something that would hold up to the chewing of my very active black lab puppy for more than 15 minutes. Wood, leather, and rubber toys -- and even some metal (think fencing) -- had proven to be no match, so I wasn't expecting a lot, but I was pleasantly surprised. He chews on it daily, plays toss and catch with it, even plays tug-of-war with my collie. A year later he is 80 lbs larger, but this is still his favorite toy. I am amazed at how well it has held up to a year of very vigorous play and chewing.

I received this through the mail yesterday and well my 9 month old Pitbull is tearing it apart as I type this review out.The tire tread is the first thing that he chewed off now he is ripping the side walls right out of it. The Kong brand makes a tough dog toy and i'd recommend that over this every day of the week, over the two months my Pitbull chewed on the kong it barely has a dent on it this toy however is not a Kong or as tough as one.

Not strong at all and DEFINITELY NOT for heavy chewers. My German Shepherd puppy (4 months old) had this ripped to shreds in mere moments. The "treads" peel right off after a few bites. This was the Large size for "dogs over 40 lbs." My pup is about 20 pounds.

Took approximately 5 minutes for our lab to chew all of the tread off. I would not recommend this for a large dog that likes to chew!

I wasn't familiar with this brand and wasn't sure what the quality would be, but I highly recommend it - especially for dogs who are aggressive or strong chewers. My husband and I have a 10-month-old Basenji / Bull Terrier / Pit Bull mix with very strong jaws. We've had the toy for about a month now, and he's barely put a dent in it. Even when it sounds as if he's crunching it into pieces, it's showing very little wear, just a few little dents here and there from his teeth. It's one of his favorite toys, so it gets a lot of play time. We have the six-inch size, and even though he's a medium-sized dog (about 36 pounds), it's easy for him to carry and play with. If you've searched everywhere for a toy that will hold up to your fuzzy little chewing machine, this is it!Petsport Survivor Tire Trax, 6-Inch
