I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. Her foal got sick and she wanted help getting him healthy. About three hours later, I finally gave her back the game and quickly decided that from now on we'd share our DS games (I have a DS too). It was so much fun!!! My only complaint is that the instructions are awful. I'm 34 years old and it took me two days to figure out how to unlock the doors because the instructions just say something like, "You will find that some doors are locked. You must complete certain actions to open them." Also, getting the foal cured was confusing. I still don't understand sending him to the vet, Sally. I'm kind of wondering if there is another DS game he can be sent to. I can see how this game could be very hard for younger players.

We found this game to be somewhat challenging, especially when the foals get sick and it has been hard to figure out how to care for the foals. Most recently during game play my daughters barn burned down and the game told her that her horse was killed in the fire. She is only 8 and was devastated. After more game play the barn was restored. She does like the game, but again some of the concepts to maintain the foals seems to be very challenging.

My daughter spends hours playing this game on her DS, I don't know too much about the game because I don't play DS too often but she is totally hooked on it. I think these pets games are great for kids, because it forces them to think instead of mindlessly shooting some moving target on a screen. I vote it a great buy.

This game is fun but you don't get the money you need for blankets for your horse, other food, and outfits for Ginger. I wish I had gotten Pony Friends instead of Horsez.

My granddaughter loved this game. She received the DS and the game for her birthday and played with it for hours. This was a good choice for an eight year old.

This game is fun. I got it for my 7 year old daughter and I'm 32 and we cant seem to figure out how to take care of the foal so it won't get sick. the directions are not very helpful and telling you how to get the baby horse to eat. Other than that the rest is fun.

This game is soooo much fun! Competeing and taking care of horses...big fun! Nothing is that challenging. Foals are hard to train but still it is fun! Training your horses to be the best is an exciting task! 5 starz!

pretty good game for the price, since I did had to use my christmas money to get it...... but here is a few things I have to mention......
1, brushing is not impossible! come on! I can figure it out, just brush it with the pink brush to remove dirt on the horse's body, then brush the dirt off of the horse's neck and three of his leg(don't brush too carefully!it's ok to leave some dirt, but don't leave too much!), then take the blue brush and brush the remaining off. I can't promise it will work every time, but it works on the foals that I brushed.
2, it's easy to cure the foals! just go to the store to buy medicines and give it to the foal!
3, you can get money to buy blankets and stuff easily! just train your horse to three stars on each categories and ask the guy that breed horses. you will get some money by doing that!
4, you do not have to go back-and-forth about 40 times to get hay...... the last time I counted, it took me at least 16 times to get the hay into the circles in stable cleaning...... and touching the hay bale with your stylus after you put down your hay saves some time too.
it is a pretty neat game! and it's not that boring! you can ride around on your horse when you're bored( and I don't means focusing on riding around, I mean look around while riding around, because there is some pretty neat things on different trails when you pass a certain point. ) but the only problems I have there is is I don't know how to get my horse to pirouleutte in the dressage game and i can't ge my foals to the pasture.
