5.0 out of 5 stars Petz Nursery - Extremely Cute!
Hello I'm an autistic adult gamer.

I'm also very new to the petz/ animal ds games. I like Petz Nursery it gives a variety of animals to take care of & since I'm really into the baby ds game's I thought this game would be perfect for me so I bought the game down at GameStop & love it. You get to pick what ever animal you want at the pet shop plus play games...

2.0 out of 5 stars Sad outcome...
I bought this game for my 8 year old. She was having so much fun raising her new kitten and then it grew up. After the pet grew up it had to be taken to the pet store! She was SO sad. So now she knows every animal she gets will have to go away. So if you are prepared to let your pet go then this game is fine, but if you think you are going to raise your pet and play...

You get to pick what ever animal you want at the pet shop plus play games with your animal & feed the animal & alot of other stuff over all I give this game 5 star's. I did try Nintendo dogs ds game as rental for free from my local library & personally couldn't stand it.

If I have to pick between Nintendo dogs ds game & Petz Nursery ds game hands down I'll pick Petz Nursery everytime only because you don't get to choose just one type of animal you have a variety that's what I like & plus you never get bored with this game I was playing it for 2 hour's at one point & didn't get bored once plus you can trade your animal with one of your friends who has the same game or Dogz Talent show ds game wirelessly.

Hand's down's Petz series is cool so far in my opinion.

Get this game you'll enjoy it. I know I do.

Happy Gaming everyone!

Ok. Im thirteen years old and yes a girl. I really wanted this game because I thought it looked really cute and fun. So I finally bought it. I played it for about twenty minutes and bought a couple cute puppies. So then, my first puppy, a corgi, grew up. I was happy and was expecting maybe a prize or anyways I was still happy to play with my adult dog. Then what? Well. It says "This animal is too old to be taken care of here" What!? Well that wasnt very good news. I knew that hamsters could be transfered to another hamsterz petz game and the dogs could be transfered to another dogz petz game, but what I didnt know is that when your pet grows up you have to let it go. Sadly, If you either dont have those other games or you have a cat or exotic animal, you have to sell your animal when it grows up. Well, I have the hamsterz superstarz but its very boring and I like playing with dogs. I dont have the other dogz game so I guess that every animal I buy will eventually have to be given away. If you like to bond with and play with your petz, then dont buy this game.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible message for kids--get a baby, raise it, give it away, January 10, 2010

My 8-year-old was devastated after she raised a kitty and then couldn't keep it. Not only did I resent having to soothe my child over something that was meant to bring her joy, but also this is a terrible thing to teach children: that you can enjoy kittens and puppies, but then when they are grown, trade, sell, or get rid of them. Pets rely on people to be responsible, caring, and DEPENDABLE owners. I absolutely LOATHE this. Don't buy it if you don't want to see your child cry.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money on this one, January 2, 2010

Petz Nursery is a ridiculous waste of money.

Short review: Don't buy it.

Longer review: The game starts out OK. You get to pick from a select number of cute baby animals (more choices are unlocked later in the game).

Once you've selected your baby animal, you play with it and care for it until it becomes an adult.

Then what?

Nothing.

So, seriously... When the animal becomes and adult - and you've spent the time to raise and care for it, it just goes away. You can't continue to play with the adult animals, breed them, etc.

You will be supplied with a code that you can enter on the Petz website that will allow you to "see" your adult animal. But, again, you can't actually do anything with it. And, that's IF you get a code that actually works. Ours didn't... And, Ubisoft support is completely worthless.

There are far better games out there for the price. Pass on this one.

I was really excited when this game came out, that I wanted it for Christmas and I got it. When I got my first pet in the game, which was a Chihuahua, I was actually having a good time. But when the instructions told me to take it to another place, I had no choice but to take it to the pet store. Talk about a waste. It's stupid, because the game has Wi-Fi and it shouldn't. I'm not going to say that this game is horrible, I just think it's ridiculous that the player gets to keep the newborn pets for a limited time, then they have to be taken back to the shelter. Also, the mini games are EXTREMELY boring, not to mention repetitive. It's sad because I'm a fan of the "Petz" series and this just upsets me. Do yourself a favor and avoid "Petz Nursery" at all costs.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. It is now December 28th, and she is crying her eyes out! It was great for a couple of days, but then the puppy grew up, and she had to take it to the Pet store where she will never be able to play with it again. Geesh! Kinda heartless. I understand that this is a nursery, and that pets do grow up, but gee whiz its a game and the kids will get attached to the little animals they have taken care of. After only 3 days the pet is gone!!!! I wish I had bothered to read the reviews, i never would have bought it.

We brought this for my 5 year old daughter and she just loves this game. It is so cute to sit there and watch her take care of the different animals. From feeding them, cleaning them, etc.. she just adores this game and getting new animals once the others grow up. I highly recommend this game for any child who LOVES animals as they will has so much fun playing it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst game ever!!!!!!, July 5, 2010
A Kid's Review
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Petz Nursery (Video Game)
I'm 10 and this game was a disappointment.I know the cover is cute but don't let that fool you!The game is so boring I don't play it anymore! There is almost nothing to do besides playing mini games, feeding it,brushing it, and taking photos of your pet.The instruction booklet is not that helpful. For example: the booklet tells you about emotion icons and that when they come up it means your pet needs something and that you need to fulfill it's needs,it shows you the symbols and their meanings, but it dose not tell you how to fulfill it's needs. It's true you have to give away your pet once it has grown. The pets are cute!!!!!But they are not that fun. Some need something every second while others don't want anything!I would not buy the game!

Got this game for my 6-year-old daughter before I read the reviews listed here. Then I got worried she wouldn't like it after reading what some others posted. Complaints are that you give the pet up for adoption after you take care of it - well, yes, that's the point of the game, its called "NURSERY" They are taking care of obviously newborn pets. Even my 8-year-old son likes this game. No complaints yet.
