I bought this because I compete dogs in dog agility. I couldn't help myself! What a fun game. Not terribly difficult to figure out, so kids can play, but entertaining enough for adults too! I wish I could get my dogs to weave through the weave poles by pointing the controller at them! :) The dogs in this game are well done. Realistic in their looks and mannerisms.

When I went back to check how long I had been on the Wii the first night I got this game, I had spent almost three hours playing with those puppies! I don't know how the time went so quickly; I guess I was just enjoying myself.

It took a little bit to figure out how to pet the pups so they would enjoy it and I would earn some "heart" points. It also took me more than a minute to figure out how to get the treat from start to the end without the puppy eating it! Once I figured it out, it is just a matter of a steady hand not to drop it out of the lines before it gets to the end.

I haven't played this long enough to know all the perks that will come along the way. I know Amazon's description says you can feed your dog and walk your dog. So far, I've only been able to feed them dog biscuits that they earn after doing a trick or routine. I haven't seen any way to walk them yet either, but maybe that is something I will unlock with time.

I love the races; they really give my upper arms a workout to get those puppies to run fast when it seems like a competitor might beat my dog! A few times I didn't move the remote to see what would happen, and the puppy ran and went around the obstacle that they encircle four times without me even moving the remote. However, if I don't move it at the start of the race, my puppy just walks and does not run. Also if you don't hit the "B" button at the hurdles, your puppy will not jump but will just knock the hurdle over which everyone in track and field knows adds to the racer's completion time. :-)

I could not figure out the "play ball with your puppy" games at all. I haven't tried them since I never hit anything with the ball that first night. But I figured out the jump rope pretty easily and get some good arm working out with that one too.

My 16 year old has a prior version of this game for his Nintendo DS that has some things I prefer. For instance, his dogs respond to his voice. If you whistle for them, they come to the screen. I miss that with my Wii game, but other than that, it seems to be just as much fun. I am interested to see how much more my puppies will be able to do the more I "play" with them.

Obviously this is a game for "children" of all ages. :-)

I had to come back to update my original review. I did figure out how to play ball with the dogs, as well as how to jump rope right so they don't hurt themselves. :-) I have been having a ball with this game. My co-workers laugh when I talk about what I did with my "dogs" because most of them know I mean this Wii game. Again, fun for all ages, and if you have any problems figuring out how things work, use the + key to get to the tutorial. It is very helpful.

Got this for kid's for x-mas. opened it to see what game was all about. Loved it cant set it down. Think mom might be playing this more then kid's! You can dress your dog, which is fun, but the race games wow! what a blast! jump ropeing a little hard to get the hang of but still fun. A great game over all easy enough, but i think the kid's will love it and adults who love dogs will too!

We have tried basically every Wii game for my 5 year old and this is one of the top 10 for kids this little. With instructions given to her in the beginning she was able to take off and play on her own. Granted, theres not a lot to the game so I wouldnt recomment it for older kids, but its perfect for age groups 4-7! She really enjoy this game and unlike many games that weve tried and she gets frustrated with or is just not interested in, she likes this one.

This game is fun for kids and adults 4 and up. It is easy and fun to play. On singleplayer you get to adopt a dog(s) and pet him, teach him tricks, enter an agility course and win awards, dress him, play jumprope (which comes locked at first), and play catch (which also comes locked). My dad adopted a husky, my little brother adopted a German sheperd, and I adopted a pug. On multiplayer up to 3 friends can join your dog in an ajilitity course, but awards are not saved.

I got this game for my 4 & 7 year old. They love the dogs and have a lot of fun dressing them up. But my 7 year old had won all the races the first time he played and was quickly bored with it. My 4 year old can do the races and seems to enjoy the game, but gets a little frustrated because it is a little complicated for her. I wouldn't recommend this game, but it isn't a bad game. We got it free, so I am glad we got the game, but would not pay money for it.

My daughter loves this game and well...um...the parents might too. Ok, the parents really love this game! Very fun for the entire family. It's easy to understand and play. Your child will be able to get the hang of this with instruction on the first day of play. Children will love to be able to get enough adoption coins to adopt all the dogs. It's fun to watch, fun to play...money well spent.

I think this game is meant more for kids but I enjoyed it and I am a senior citizen. I even had my husband pick out a dog and we race against each other. It is nice to have a game that doesn't require too much brain power after a hard day. If a 4 yr old has figured out how to get the secret codes I would sure like that info. Haha It does teach coordination and the ability to follow instructions. Is a very simple game.

My 7 year old likes this game and it is super easy. It would probably be boring for anyone much older but has a lot of different activities for younger ones. It requires some movement. The game came when it was supposed to in good shape.

This is a great game for kids and adults. This is your opportunity to train your pet to do tricks and train them for street races. Great multilayer fun and ability to unlock different clothing items for your virtual doggy. Every time you log on, it is always happy to see you. This is as close to a having a dog, without actually having one and you don't even have to clean up after it!
