5.0 out of 5 stars Petzl Pouch
At first I thought that it would be too small, but it has room for the Tactikka XP,the extra colered lenses, and spare batteries!Seems to be a well built product!

2.0 out of 5 stars Keep away from salt water!
Whatever you do, keep this little pouch away from salt water. After one exposure, the metal zipper body corroded so badly, it disintegrated the next time I used it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact Armor, June 14, 2008
This review is from: Petzl E43990 Zippered Pouch for Tikka Series Lights (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this to keep my new Tikka XP safe while crammed along with my other supplies in my back pack. It offers semi-hard casing instead of being more plyable like soft cases or bags and the Tikka fits snuggly inside. Samll enough to take up the least ammount of space in my pack while being big enough to easily fit the Tikka XP inside. Great deal!

5.0 out of 5 stars Handy, September 12, 2009
This review is from: Petzl E43990 Zippered Pouch for Tikka Series Lights (Tools & Home Improvement)
Handy little pouch to protect your headlamp. If you are like me, and have to get a case for each of your many gadgets, then you'll need to get one of these.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Tactikka Plus, October 24, 2008
This review is from: Petzl E43990 Zippered Pouch for Tikka Series Lights (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is perfect and better than expected for my Tactikka Plus.

Material is fairly firm and protective. Though I wouldn't say it's flat out "hard," I think what there is is actually better if it's dropped, and I'm not worried about packing or storing with this. Reminds me of kevlar.

Space is just right for my Tactikka Plus with its strap, and I can get a spare set of AAA's in the little pocket inside as well if there's need.

There's a smaller Petzl out there for the Zipka units -- the E44990. This is the larger E43990 for the others (Tikka, Tactikka, etc.), and is exactly what I needed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not quite what I expected . . . ., May 13, 2008
This review is from: Petzl E43990 Zippered Pouch for Tikka Series Lights (Tools & Home Improvement)
It's not a bad case overall. However, I was hoping it would be a little stiffer. More of a "hard case". It's pretty soft. I'm not sure how well it will protect the light if it takes a direct blow. But it is still good for keeping the light close on a pack strap or belt. A little pricey for what it is, in my opinion. I would not buy another!

just as others have said, my headlamp (tikka plus) doesn't fit in this case. there is a larger one available though. go to a store to try and size it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced, but mostly worth it., August 24, 2011

This review is from: Petzl E43990 Zippered Pouch for Tikka Series Lights (Tools & Home Improvement)
The case is not completely solid, but it is semi solid, so it does a pretty good job of protecting my tikkaplus2 during transit.

When the band is rolled up correctly, both my light and three replacement batteries will fit inside for a snug fit.

Yes, it's overpriced, but it's much better than the large mesh pouch that Petzl sells. If your light is small enough to fit in here, it's worth it. If not, look for a better quality case (Lowepro makes some nice ones) for a larger light.

I have had this pouch clipped to my tool bag for a couple of years now. It has performed perfectly in keeping my tikka free from damage. It has a small internal pocket to stick extra batteries in. I always now where my headlight is. Trust me, my tool bag gets abused and bashed around, this pouch just dangles from it and hasnt frayed or torn in anyway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Future worries, September 16, 2010
This review is from: Petzl E43990 Zippered Pouch for Tikka Series Lights (Tools & Home Improvement)
Don't get me wrong, this item is awesome, spacious, and durable...kind of. It offers excellent protections and even a spot for your extra batteries. What worries me and made me give this 4 stars is the zipper. One customer mentioned salt water and on top of that, the hook that holds the zipper on had a pretty big gap, meaning that over time, the hook could just break off or get bent to the point where the zipper would fall off. Overall, great item and well received, but a more 'everlasting' zipper would have been nicer. I will just have to baby the zipper I guess.
