I don't use it for more noble uses like mountain climbing or caving, but I use it for more practical everyday uses. I use it for working on my car (day or night), washing my car at night (turns night into day), loading firewood at night, raking leaves at night, shoveling snow at night, just about anything that you can't normally do at night (without alot of light), you can do if you have this. By the time I get home from work the sun has set, so this really helps me keep up on chores. I have had other headlights but none even come close to being this bright. The quality of the craftsmanship is top notch. It is made to last. This is expensive, yes, and I am not rich, but I think it is worth every penny.

I hike a lot in the Sierras, and this headlight is the best I have ever used.
The past weekend I went x-country skiing to the Glacier Point and hit by an epic blizzard (see the weather report in the Yosemite last week of January), and the headlight held up no problem in the intense snow storm in wet, windy, miserable condition.

I very highly recommend this headlight, especially when the right light means the difference between emergency bivouac (or worse) vs completion of the trip.

WOW!!! THIS LIGHT IS REALY POWERFULL, A WELL BUILT. I WAS AMAZED WHEN I TURN IT ON IT REALY TURNED THE DARK ROOM INTO A DAY LIGHT.
THE MOST POWERFULL LIGHT I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THIS LIGHT IS REALY PROFITIONAL.IT'S WORTH THE PRICE.

This product should have been five stars, and maybe it is for cave explorers. However they totally ignored the needs of anyone who rides a bicycle after dark. It is 99% impossible to attach it to a bike helmet. I tried wearing it on my forehead under the helmet brow, but no good. Now I jury rig it to the handlebars and I spend a lot of time adjusting it because whenever I hit a bump in the road it points up, down, or sideways, not where I need it. It does give a good deal of light, but as expected, it only lasts 60 minutes on highest setting, not 90 as they claim. It seems corporations always exaggerate the benefits of their products. Add two stars if you use it for walking instead of bike riding. Add another star if you don't mind paying the ridiculous high price.
