We use it for a lifting aid in partner rescue, and it works well. It could be a little wider to make it easier to keep rope on it. You need to be careful of which oval carabiner you use. It can be tough to work this pulley past the turns and gate opening. Works for us, and you can't beat the price.

Its a very fine balance that this has to meet. In the one hand it has to fit onto the carabiner so it can't be too wide and it cant have a diameter too large. It also has to stay in place when in use. A wider pulley wheel would stay in place better but would be impossible to get on to the biner in the first place. This does do its job, but you need to be very careful when using it under tension or the rope will slip off. For what this advertizes to be it is the best it could be, but a dedicated pulley like Petzl Oscillante Pulley is a better bet overall.

Its not a bad concept but its limited by its nature. It can be hard to get around sharp bends in the biner and its narrow enough that 11mm rope will pop off if you're using it dynamically. I use it to increase the bend ratio on my tie in knots (buntline) but I've been itching to use it as a rigging point from above.
