5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best CD's ive heard
ok let me say that i wasnt the biggest ska-punk fan before. my friend left this CD at my house so i listened to it, and let me tell you i am now hooked! i think many other people got it right when they said that there is NOT a bad song on here. thats what makes it so good. you dont have to program your stereo to skip the songs you dont like, cause they're all good...

versus
2.0 out of 5 stars 1st full length LTJ release isn't quite as good as i hoped
Less Than Jake's Asian Man records release, "Pezcore", is an ok CD. It lacks a different variety of styles, and all songs basically sound the same. However, "Liquor Store", "One Last Cigarette", and "Where The Hell is Mike Sinkovich" are all great songs, and deserve to be recognized.

One last ciggarette, where the hell is mike sinkovich, downbeat, liquor store and Jen doesnt like me anymore are very catchy songs, as well at many others on this 19 song CD (each song is usually just over 2 minutes long. i also love the secret song to the theme of 'laverne and shirley' (i think thats what it is). So if you like ska-punk or even if you dont, give "pezcore" a listen. its a great album.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Classic Heart and Core of Less Than Jake, November 9, 1999

Being a fan since '96, This is the album where Less than Jake gives themselves a name. It should be agreed upon that there is not a single 'bad' song on this album. If you love to skank (fast), this is the one to get you off the ground as opposed to Losing Streak where you might tend to get into a slight moshing mode. Nevertheless, they still have the songs 'my own flag','johnny Qeust','Jen', and 'One last cigarette' that make you want jump, kick and sing along. I Recommend PezCore before you get 'blue and white','bootleg a bootleg', or the pez collection. Otherwise it's your choice between the rest.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good cd, April 13, 2001
This review is from: Pez-Core (Audio CD)
I got this cd after losing streak, hello rockview, and borders and boudaries. Like every other cd i own, I listen to it once through compleatly, then listen to only the songs I like. Well, unlike the other cds i had by LTJ, I didn't like that many of them. After awile though, i got to like them all. Honestly, out of al their cds I own, this is my least favorite. I still like it a ton, but their others are better. My favorite song on it is Where the hell is mike sinkovich

4.0 out of 5 stars They're better live, March 12, 2001

I bought this CD last night at their show because as a live band they totally kick, but this CD was a bit of a disappointment. The songs aren't as loud and rowdy as the live versions, but they're still decent songs. It's a pretty cool CD, just not one of my favorites and it doesn't compare to their show. So, if you have a chance to go see them, by all means do it 'cuz they rock! Oh, and only buy this CD if you are a really big fan of LTJ and must have this CD to complete your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!!!, September 2, 1999
This review is from: Pez-Core (Audio CD)
This was my first introduction to Less Than Jake and the whole ska-punk scene in general. The vocals are what always do it for me. That passion and longing behind the lyrics always gets to me. And it's just plain fun music to dance to. Word up! --Kelly Magovern

5.0 out of 5 stars LTJ's best ever!, August 10, 1999
By A Customer

Anyone who thinks LOSING STREAK is LTJ's best CD and hasn't heard this one should buy it NOW! There is not a single bad song on it, and will make most all fans of ska/punk happy. So even if you haven't heard of LTJ, yet you like Reel Big Fish or something like that, you should buy this. You will not be dissapointed at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars amazing cd, June 19, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Pez-Core (Audio CD)
i was introduced to less than jake with anthem, which i thought was a very good album. after i saw them at warped tour and they played 'liquor store' and 'johnny quest thinks were sellouts' i picked this up. it sounds very unpolished compared to anthem, but i like that about it. it truly is less than jake at their best. its given that with 19 tracks there will be some filler, but even the filler has that awesome less than jake sound. its funny how they left the "turn the record over" message at the end of blindsided on the CD.
