I ordered three of the Pistoulet dinner sets (to make service for 12) and then added this bowl. We love it. It is my husband's favorite of the set. We use it for pasta dishes and for things like stews and thick soups but my husband also loves to use it when he makes his salads. I'm only sorry I only ordered eight of them!

I own the blue Pistoulet set and honestly, I'm not impressed with the pasta bowl. It just doesn't match the colors or feel of the other pieces be it the dinnerware or other serving-ware (tureen, salad bowls, etc). I wouldn't have registered for it and wish that I had returned it.

I am really glad that I ordered these bowls. They have become our favorite all purpose dishes in the house. The size and shape of the bowl make it a perfect choice for a bowl of pasta or chili or soup. We tend to reach for this shallow bowl instead of a dinner plate when eating a casual dinner in front of the TV. It's a very comfortable shape to have in your lap.
