I bought 2 sets for my daughter-in-law a little over a year ago for a wedding present. The handles have weakened and are breaking off where they are attached to the cup.

I like the product, that is not the problem. The problem is that numerous pieces were broken when they arrived and getting the problem fixed has been a nightmare. I have been an Amazon customer for 10 years. I like Amazon but I have found out that, if you have a problem, it keeps getting compounded. Have you ever tried to find customer service??? They are hiding somewhere. I sent a note saying that I had broken pieces (5 pieces out of three sets) and they just went ahead and sent me three more sets. I didn't want to deal with three more sets but now I have them here. I needed to unpack them (found many more broken pieces). I was told I would recieve free shipping labels to return those not broken - well, I never have. I called (after having an impossible time finding a phone number for customer service - I had to email a plea to find it) and was told to be patient - that they would arrive soon. Then today I got an email telling me I had only one week to return the items - (the ones I never asked for in the first place and never recived the labels to return). I responded and got another email telling me that I could not respond to that address. I was referred to the usual website - I can't get any satisfaction there because my only options are to request a refund or a replacement - I want neither!! I just want to return the dishes that aren't broken!! These are replacements I never wanted or asked for in the first place - I only wanted my broken dishes replaced. This is turning into a nightmare - I am disapponted in Amazon. Take my word for it - do not order the dishes!!!

My wife and I registered for these for our wedding, and we've been happy with
them. The mild colors match most everything else.

The dishes are all very heavy and sturdy, glazed very well everywhere except for the "foot" at the very bottom (as typical for stonewear.)

We've gotten several sets and individual pieces, and the colors and glazing is
all very consistent among them.

They stack very well in the cabinets, and don't seem susceptible to scratching
one another.

The dinner plates are fairly large for our dishwasher, but they seem to fit. Our
dishwasher has an adjustment for the spacing between the upper and lower
racks, which was useful for these. The bowls, &c. fit fine.

I bought this set to add to the single 4 piece set I bought at a retail store several years ago, which I was totally satisfied with, and Pfaltzgraff isn't what it use to be. My original set was made here in the U.S. and was perfect and defect free. This new set comes by way of China and it shows. Obvious flaws and defects were found on several pieces, one of the dinner plates now has clearly visible scratch marks on it just from eating off of it ONCE! I suspect I will be replacing this set a lot sooner than anticipated. My made in the States set looks brand new after all the years I've had it now. That's why I bought Pfaltzgraff again. I'm sorry I did. It's a shame to see a company sacrifice quality and reputation for the sake of profit!!! Also be wary of buying online. My first shipment had several broken plates in it upon arrival and I had to request a second set be sent to me. That process did go smooth and I was credited for the first set I sent back at Amazon's expense. Bottom line is Pfaltzgraff disappoints me they need to seriously review their quality control of their over seas production.

This is the only dinnerware that I have that has survived my sons washing dishes. Though one piece did not survive shipping, I still have all the original pieces and the set is over a year old. That is a record for me. I love the color and I am about to move and this will be my everyday dinnerware. I am going to expand on what I have and add some color to it with other Pfaltzgraff pieces. Very satisfied.

I was hesitant to buy these dishes at first after reading the other reviews about the horrible packing, but the price could not be beat anywhere else (including the pfaltzgraff site). I bought these as a wedding gift for a friend, so I made sure to order way in advance in case I needed to return items. The dishes were beautiful, and fully intact. However, amazon should do a better job when shipping these items. Although the dishes were securely packed in the pfaltzgraff box, The amazon box around the dishes did not contain any extra padding, and was banged up a bit on the corners. Aside from this, the item itself is great!

I ordered 2 sets of these dishes 2 weeks before Christmas. I was very happy to receive my order within 5 days . . . however, 3 dishes were broken and 1 was defective. As Amazon prefers, I contacted Pfaltzgraff directly concerning the broken/defective pieces. Unfortunately, even though I live within a few hours drive of the Pfaltzgraff factory headquarters, I didn't receive the replacement dishes until more than 2 weeks later . . . and Pfaltzgraff sent me only 3 dishes instead of 4. Now, I am waiting on the last piece.

The price I paid on Amazon was great. Much better than any department store in my area. But, I didn't have all the dishes to use for Christmas dinner.

The dishes are beautiful and I'm happy with my selection.

I'd recommend ordering the dishes early, if possible, to account for the time necessary to obtain replacements for the broken dishes you'll probably receive.

My folks had Pfaltzgraff dinnerware when I was growing up. With five kids it held up very well over many many years with quite a bit of use and abuse. So, when I was looking to buy casual dinnerware to replace a bunch of old mis-matched discount store brand stuff that I got a few years back in college that was full of chips, cracks and stains, I went straight to the Pfaltzgraff outlet store. I bought a couple pieces in this pattern to see how much I liked it, and liked it so much I decided to go ahead and get a full 16 piece set and a bunch of other pieces such as salt & pepper shakers, buffet dishes, serving dishes etc.

This stuff is very good quality at a very good price. Dishes are extremely durable and larger than most other every day stuff. Cereal bowls are just the right size and I love the large coffee mugs which are great for a big dose of hot chocolate! You don't get saucers, but what's the point of them anyway for everyday stuff? Color pattern is very neutral so it goes with almost any decor or other piece patterns you may have. You won't be disappointed with this pattern.

I ordered 2 sets of this dinnerware - had 3 destroyed plates and 2 chipped bowls out of 32 pieces. Would like to mention that we feel the color actually has a greenish (very pale celadon) tint to it - not bad if you like green, but really can't refer to this as a true shade of tan, as "cappuccino" implies.

These dishes are wonderful, I ordered 2 sets but it took about a month before getting a set that didnt have broken pieces in it. Just allow plenty of time for this and you'll be happy. The customer service reps at Amazon were very helpful....the people who pack at the warehouse need better instruction on packing techniques.
