The base of this stoneware butter dish is cream-colored with bands of light green and blue around the border. The rounded cover is a matching solid green, even underneath. The dish is very generously sized, so a full stick of butter--plus the last remnants of the previous one--will fit comfortably. As with all Pfaltzgraff dishes, single replacement pieces are available if you ever break one and need, say, just the lid.
