I was very excited to buy a new set of everyday dishes after 20 years!! We redid our kitchen and it was time to change the dishes to match. We've had a different Pfaltzgraff pattern all these years and thought it would be safe going with the same brand. The color of the orbit tan is a little darker than expected against our medium tone wood table, but solved that with tan placemats. Very happy with the size of all the pieces even if the dinner plates are a little big for the dishwasher! The set looked great at first. Biggest drawback and point of great dissatisfaction is the chipping that has happened. This is contrary to the other review. We have not been "banging" them around, it's just the occasional hit as your stacking, etc. Just purchased the plates this past winter and already have chips in almost all the large plates and not small chips, big ones. Some of the bowls have chips now too. And when they chip, it's white underneath! I've glued a lot of the pieces back if they were still in one piece and manageable. But, I'm very discouraged about that. I feel like we have to treat them like china. We like to entertain and I'm embarrassed to put these plates on the table with company. 20 years with the other set with small children did not produce the results we have with this new set and grown children handling them!

like the dishes very much, extremely fast shipping (received within 48 hours of my order!) . the "tan" is really on the green side-- not exactly what I was looking for, but for the price and the quality I can get used to them.. Bowls are huge, and I can easily use them as serving bowls... that is a plus! overall great procuct and service

I really love the color and feel of these plates but the down side is is that they are gigantic! I am really trying to stick to a diet and portion control which is very difficult to do when your bowls are the size of mixing bowls and the plates are the size of serving platers!! The plates don't even fit in my dishwasher!!

Boy I have knocked these around so many times and never a chip! Pretty color and the plates are nice and large. Very nice design. Only downfall is the big plates are very heavy. The mugs are great and the bowls perfect to hold just enough!
