I love these dishes! When they arrive, it was just how I pictured them. They are great for everyday use and even for more formal dinners. The bowls are my new favorite soup and cereal bowls and I love the mug for coffee. They are not too heavy and also very easy to wash. I've also received many compliments on them. I highly recommend them!

Received the plates as a gift and fell in love. Decided to get a second set, ordered and received a broken set. Sent the order back and received a new set a few days later. Second set has one broken dish. Called amazon to see If I could just get one bowl instead of a whole new set. They said no and offered a $5 credit...pretty useless. Said I have to send the whole set back and hope the new set is not broken again. So I called Pfalzgraff to see if they could just send one bowl. They happily accommodated. So, in conclusion, great plates, bad packaging and poor solution from amazon. The first time I have had trouble with amazon :(

This is a very nice set of dishes. The pattern is nice enough to be used for company but they are sturdy enough to use as every day dishes. The shape and size of each piece is just right for showcasing your food without either crowding it or ending up with a bunch of un-usable space (no lip on the plates). The stoneware is high fired, too, which means it is both non-porous and less vulnerable to breakage than some of my other dishes.

My only issue was that I ended up ordering 4 boxes to get service for 8! The original packaging (as of Christmas 2010) is REALLY not set up for UPS shipments and Amazon did not sufficiently pad the box in the shipping box. Maybe this would not be as much of an issue when it is not high season for shipping boxes, but if you are ordering for an event, I would recommend either getting an extra box and planning to return a box of pieces or just making sure to get them in plenty of time to run through the returns process. (As an aside, Amazon was amazing at getting my replacement boxes out!)

The dishes themselves are great, but don't order from Amazon. Order from the Pfaltzgraf site instead. My set came with 3 broken plates and one broken bowl. The packaging on these is horrible, and Amazon requires you to send back the whole set. If you order from the Pfaltzgraf people at least they'll send out individual replacements.

We picked these for a nice set of everyday place settings. They are heavy and have a nice finish. Pretty neutral without being too plain looking. I like earthware because of the weight. They seem like they will hold up well in the dishwasher, microwave, and daily abuse. nice glazed insides with brown look; same on the bottom. Very good for the price.

It's a little hard to tell from the images, but the fleurettes on the plates are a lavender/bluish/purplish shade. The painting between plates isn't exactly uniform, so some of the fleurettes are slightly different shades than the others. Everything arrived in one piece, despite the lack of peanuts or air cushions. Most of the plates have a small imperfection or two. It doesn't bother me so much, but I wonder if these were seconds. Still, at $40 they're a great deal for some substantial dinnerware.

I bought these dishes after lots of research on Stoneware. This company really makes a great product. Out of the 2 sets I bought only one bowl came cracked. I called the number in the manual for a replacement. They were very helpful and the bowl came quickly at no charge. Not to mention, they came quickly from Amazon and with free shipping, so I saved almost $40!

Each piece is slightly different, in design and shape, which is only noticeable when they are stacked. The clovers are a slightly blue color, the tan is neutral and the dark brown is a milk chocolately color.

The manual says they are oven safe but I have not tried that yet. My concern always is that the dish will get very hot when microwaved. These do not. They do get warm but not so much that they cannot be handled. I've had them about 2 months and I wash them in the dishwasher, and I am not particularly gentle with my dishware and they have not cracked or chipped, and appear to be very durable.

Overall, a great, quality product and you cannot beat the price. I highly recommend this set.

nice set.just kept coming broken.had the same trouble the the other reviewer had.sent the 2 sets I ordered back and got a refund..This is after I got 3 replacements and they had broken bowls...no more ordering dishis on line

Just got these in the mail yesterday, I thought the patterns would be more subtle than they are, but they are nice nonetheless. My only complaint is that the bowls are small, and there are no matching serving sets or bowl alternatives to go with them.

I love this set. It has a very differant design from inside and out. very sturdy had some plates even fall and didnt brake. I really enjoy it. im sure you will too.
