This classic set of Pfaltzgraff stoneware is basic off-white with an understated filigree pattern of gently scalloped edges and embossed arches. Its beauty lies in its subtlety: it's pretty but not overly feminine, so it wouldn't be out of place in a bachelor pad. The three-piece set contains 3-1/2-quart (14 cups), 3-quart (12 cups), and 2-1/2-quart (10 cups) sealed canisters. Each lid features a good-sized knob for easy lifting. As with all Pfaltzgraff dishes, single replacement pieces are available if you ever break, say, just a lid. The stoneware is microwave-, oven-, freezer-, and dishwasher-safe. I loved the pattern, but the edges of lids chipped the first month I had them. This is true of bowls and plates in this pattern also. I had collected an entire set of dishes over a year, but am now looking to replace them with a different pattern. Very disappointed.

I bought this set for about $60.00 here for my sister's birthday and 2 days after my purchase I received a Pfaltzgraff catalog that had them for $30.00, I paid double for them here so I don't feel like I got such a great deal. This is not the first time this has happened to me at Amazon. I was addicted to Amazon, I thought free shipping was nice for holidays and birthdays because I have family that lives out of state, I am no longer addicted to Amazon and after paying double for these I don't even plan on ever shopping here again. My sister seems to like them, they match the set of dishes I bought for her here at Christmas.
