Great hostess gift idea
I suggest keeping a few of these inexpensive, well-made trays on hand for hostess and party gifts. I'm using mine at the table to hold salt/pepper, napkins and such.

melamine yellow tray
This is a 'melamine' tray and not so white color.(yellowish!) It looks a common cheap one. And no 'pfaltzgraff' brand name on the tray itself.

There was nothing in the listing for this, or the devilled egg platter I bought that indicated it was made from some fairly shoddy plastic. I suppose the price should have been a clue, but I was honestly expecting stoneware or a reasonably sturdy and attractive material. I'll use them, or give them as gifts, but I am not impressed, and feel it should have been clearly stated that these are PLASTIC.

I love this tray. I cannot believe it was so inexpensive. I use mine for outdoor entertaining. It is sturdy, pretty, and well made. I have also given as gifts. What a perfect vessel to present a gift on too! I thisnk I'll buy some more and keep on hanf as hostess gifts too.
