I recently ordered two of the Naturewood service for 4 sets -- that included Mugs, Mugs, Mugs!! The same Pfaltzgraff Naturewood service for 4 includes a tea cup and saucer in most other places -- and I was thrilled to see the MUGS offered here. I can not wait to receive my new stoneware - and use it in together with my new 14-inch platter.

The wife wanted this pattern for quite a while and it makes her very happy. When your wife is happy, so are you. Enough said.

These dishes are not only attractive but strong! Unintentionally teenagers can really chip, nick and batter plates, but these have withstood use after use and clatter after clatter.

If it's a sturdy, microwave safe set you're after - try these.

This was one pattern that both my wife and I could agree on. The design is clean and interesting and should fit with most decors. I purchased two of the 16 piece sets from Amazon for $... set and with the free vegtable bowles, no tax and free shipping, this was by far the best deal on the internet. My first set arrived with two broken salad plates and one broken dinner plate. My second set arrived with one broken salad plate. The repacement set arrived with one broken salad plate. The vegtable bowles arrived intact. The quality seems to be first rate. No warped plates or design flaws, but a few item did have some minor cosmetic flaws. Amazon was GREAT at resolving the damaged goods issues, but needs to seriously rethink the packaging of fragile items. The only fault I could find with this set is that the soup bowles are a little on the small side. I recommend that you read and following the cleaning and maintenance directions and this set should give many years of service.

First let me say that I had a set and then added another 4 person set to my existing set to get a setting of 8.
First thing I noticed was the thickness changed. This is because production moved from the USA to China.

OK so no biggie right? China produces high quality stuff I am guessing. Wrong... Dishes chip and fork and knife marks and durability are way down from the original set.

At least they could mark them down 50% if they are going to be such an inferior product since moving to China -- Nope... still $79.99 for dishes that hold up much worse than Corelle.

Next think I will be reading in the news that there is lead in my dishes. Not that Pfaltzgraff QC is going to notice.

I hope these guys go out of business for dropping the ball on quality... Not to mention thanks for giving the US workers the pink slips...

I bought this Dinnerware set, and just love it. I have since either bought matching pieces on my own or have friends wonderful enough to add to my collection. I am planning to get another service for 4 and 2 to 4 extra dinnerplates, as I never seem to have enough. Have had the matching containers on my wishlist for some time, may soon break down and buy them for myself as a present from my birds for Mothers day along with the salt and pepper shakers. My work allows me to be able to get to many different stores, I am therefore able to comparison shop. That has proved futile, I have yet to find a better price on anything I have bought or wanted that is less then Amazon. The 4 piece dinnerware set is usually higher ..., so I am getting these from here. Better price, take my word.

This set is outstanding. The dinnerware is heavy duty yet eye catching. It has very neutral colors and can go with almost anything. Everything arrived quickly and in one piece. It was packaged very well. I was able to purchase two of these sets with free shipping which saved approximately $40.00. The price of this dinnerware set is well below any other store that I have researched and I have been looking around for a long time. I couldn't even match this price on Ebay. This is a good buy. One BIG plus is that my husband and I both agreed on this set. He originally wanted everything in a hunting theme before seeing this pattern. You will not regret this purchase. It's well worth your money and will last for many years to come.

I bought 2 sets of Naturewood dinnerware of 5-piece setting for 4 people when I got married a few years ago. I also bought a lot of accessories (goblets, sugar and creamer, teapot etc.). I still like the pattern. I just purchased a set of Naturewood dinnerware 4-piece setting for 4 people (with bonus) on amazon.com and the price is amazing. It's better priced than when I first purchased my dinnerware. Pfaltzgraff also offers great warranty. I made a claim on the goblets a few years ago as I found some small cracks on the goblets after putting them in the dishwasher. I talked to the Pfaltzgraff representatives in the US and they just shipped replacement pieces to me. I highly recommend Pfaltzgraff products for the quality and service.

I have had these dishes for a while now--they came nicely packaged--pretty patterned--but after only a few weeks of usage--there were black scratches on the plates--fork marks--not happy with that

After 25+ years of using Corelle dishes, I decided it was time for real grown-up stoneware. After searching for weeks, I decided on Naturewood by Pfaltzgraff. Amazon had a very good deal on their 16 piece sets, plus, it was free shipping! How could you beat that? The dishes are even prettier in person than they are online. They do get silverware marks on them easily, but that is the "nature of the beast" (the finish they use on the stoneware marks easily). Pfaltzgraff sells some nifty cleaner that easily removes the marks if they bother you. The marks on my dishes aren't too bad. My guess is a cleaning every now and then (every couple of months or so) will take care of the worst marks. Yes, these dishes are heavy. They are stoneware. That is to be expected. I like their heftiness. So far, they seem to be working well. They go perfectly in my house; I love the design of the dishes. Plus, Pfaltzgraff, when it retires a pattern, keeps the basic dishes in production for a few years following the retirement. I am happy with my purchase.
