This giant cookie jar actually looks like a birdhouse, complete with a roof of green shingles. On the sides of the cream-colored jar are two sketched windows with potted herbs on their sills, plus a bird peeking out of the round birdhouse door. The jar is more than 8 inches high and nearly 7 inches wide, so it should hold a good amount of cookies (that is, unless someone--who shall remain nameless--eats them all first). The lid has a leather string handle for lifting. The stoneware is safe for use in the microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher. Three-year warranty. --Doree Armstrong

I just purchased this cookie jar about a month ago, and I cannot seem to keep it filled! Before this jar, the cookies I made would sit around for weeks! Now, I just keep the cover on when there are cookies in the jar, and off when there is not. My son loves this idea, and says that there are little birdies waiting in there for him after his day at camp! The design fits so well with my other Naturewood kitchen ware, that family and friends don't even realize that it is a cookie jar! It's easily washed, and keeps our cookies fresh (for the few days they last!).
