I bought this set for my mother who is extremely picky with her home decor. We both love them, the canisters are beautiful and would work with traditional or contemporary decor. The description does not mention the fact that the canisters ARE airtight, there is a rubber seal on the inside of the lids, so you can keep anything fresh in them. Item was shipped quickly and very well packed...no way they could ever break in transit!

I love this canister set. It keeps everything very fresh, doesn't take up a lot of room and looks great on my counter.
