It looks exactly as it does in the picture. It would be nice if the yellow trim on the dish would match the yellow cover but other than that, it's beautiful.

I've had the service for 8 for a few months, and treated myself to the
covered butter dish recently. Stick of butter fits perfectly, which was a concern of mine given the shape of the lid.

Well worth it, adds a whimsical touch to the table.

Do you know how hard it is to find butter dishes? This one is sturdy, yet whimsical. We just remodeled our kitchen and have a tuscan feel to it and this butter dish fits right in.

This is a great butter dish whether you have Pistoulet or not. The best feature is the fleur de lis on top as a handle, I've had other butter dishes without a handle and they are a pain.

Have most of this line, Pistoulet, they need to modify the lid handle on it. If you're cooking your hands will be slippery and the lid is hard to pick up with that handle they put on it.

Most importantly, the little nub on top is straight, narrow and smooth, making it hard to grasp if it is even slightly greasy. It needs to flare out on top. I also think the bottom section looks too big for the top, but that is just me.

This is a very nice addition to your Pistoulet pieces. It's a little larger than most butter dishes, makes it easy to pass without someone sticking their fingertip into the butter. (Hey, we have big guys in the family.) Typical Pfaltzgraff quality.

I got this butter dish as part of a set with the creamer and sugar directly from Pfaltzgraff. It is so cute. I just love it. Even though it seems kind of wide, it still fits in the butter compartment in my refrigerator door. I have a side by side Kitchenaid refrigerator.

This piece brought back fond memories of my childhood when my grandmother made homemade butter and formed in to fit a container similar to this. You can't hardly find round molded butter, so I just made my own

This is one of the most beautiful patterns, that I have ever seen. I had to have it and I'm getting more of this pattern in the future. Love it!
