A handsome centerpiece any time of year, the tureen features a generous bowl, tall lid, large ladle, and high foot. The hand-painted design combines bright watercolor washes in cornflower and maize with a delicate grapevine motif and curved tab-style handles. The handles are comfortable and substantial, while the ladle has a built-in rest to keep it from rolling. Crafted from durable stoneware, the tureen is safe for the dishwasher, freezer, oven, and microwave. It holds 3-1/2 quarts, stands 11 inches high, and measures 11-1/2 inches in diameter. This tureen is just gorgeous - I have already had compliments on it after owning only a few weeks. The colors are warm and lovely - all the Pistoulet collection is whimsical and cheerful - I love them! I must say that I purchased my tureen directly fom Pfaltzgraff and got a better price (much better) so if you are considering it, then check with them first. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition - I heartily recommend it!
