The dishes offer a nice variation on the traditional red and green palette, and the hand-painted imagery is playful and fun. This 13-inch round platter, sized for servings of the holiday turkey or an array of peppermint cookies, features a broad border of stripe patterns and pictures of mittens, evergreens, snowflakes, and old-fashioned snowshoes. The dominant colors are maroon and dark green with lighter shades of each for accenting. Crafted from stoneware with high arced sides, the platter is substantial in construction and safe in the freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. Beautiful Pfaltzgraff platter that is as practical as it is pleasing to the eye. It goes from freezer to microwave to table to dishwasher with ease. If you have the matching dinnerware, this platter is a must have. And if you've never owned Pfaltzgraff, this would make a wonderful introductory piece !
