Generously sized, this hand-painted Villa della Luna soup and/or cereal bowl brings the exuberant spirit of Italy to the table. The bowl is available in two versions: fleur and striped. This one, striped, is washed with a plain, pale apricot interior; the exterior features perky vertical stripes of solid azure blue alternating with stripes of pale apricot, on which dance green curlicues. Perfect for ice cream, too, the striped bowl charmingly mixes and matches with not only the fleur bowl but the entire line of Villa della Luna dinnerware.

Introduced by Pfaltzgraff in 2004, Villa della Luna is inspired by scenes from the captivating book, Dancing with the Moon: A Story of Love at the Villa della Luna. The book is the sequel to The Secrets of Pistoulet: An Enchanted Fable of Food, Magic, and Love, set in southern France, the inspiration for Pfaltzgraff's Pistoulet dinnerware line. I just keep adding more pieces to my beautiful collection! I absolutely love these dishes! The colors are vivid and bright and they have the look of handpainted dishes. They hold up very well and look great on the table. I love all of the different patterns within the same collection. A highly recommended set!I have chosen to mix the bowl patterns and also bought the flowered style to go with these. I like the look of the different patterns together. Keeps me from getting bored with the same old look.
