I BOUGHT THIS SLIDE BAR SHOWER SYSTEM THINKING IT WAS A HIGHER QUALITY THAN I RECEIVED.
TOO MUCH OF IT WAS PLASTIC. SPECIFICALLY THE SLIDE BAR WAS PLASTIC & IT WAS A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
FOR THE PRICE I WAS EXPECTING A METAL SLIDE BAR ASSEMBLY THAT WOULD BE STRONG & SAFE FOR THE APPLICATION. THE HAND HELD SHOWER HEAD IS PLASTIC TOO, BUT THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED. THE ENTIRE SYSTEM IS PRETTY & LOOKS GREAT IN MY NEW TILED SHOWER. I JUST WISHED THEY HAD NOT BEEN SO CHEAP & SUPPLIED A METAL SLIDE BAR.

Originally thought this product could also be used as a grab bar. This is not the case, however, did add additional support behind installation of bar just in case. Nice product, however not as much water pressure as I would have expected. Great clean look.

Received this promptly from Amazon for shower remodel project. For $100 item, there are a significant amount of plastic parts. I expected this with the hand shower head, but was surprised that the wall mounts and wand holder are relatively thin molded plastic. The round bar does appear to be metal, however very thin walled. Two warnings are included reminding you that this is not a "grab bar" and I can understand why. I guess I expected more from Price Pfister.....this made in China product is probably an influence of Black and Decker, their parent company.
I ended up selling the wall mount bar on Ebay and purchased two 16-150C wall mounts (one for high, one for low). These are nice looking and made mostly out of metal.
