Hang A Coat On My Train,

What? Doesn't this product look like the front of an old locomotive? Anyway...the sucker holds a bathrobe like nobody's business! Good durable design worthy of a 19th century train. Typical Price Pfister quality (much heavier than it needs to be) and well worth the $23 bucks? What? Yeah...I thought that was pricey too for a robe hook, but if you really, really want your bathroom to match (and you know your family and neighbors will be looking at that sort of thing) then this is the robe hook for you. Buy it when you buy your bathtub and it will feel like a bargain.

It's kind of an awkward looking robe hook and is very chunky. They weren't in stock at Lowe's so I was buying sight unseen on Amazon, since I was getting everything else in the Ashfield design. While they are very substantial, they also feel like quality. Since my door opens out, they are kind of inset in the door jamb of the bathroom, which encloses them to an extent and makes them feel less huge (I have two mounted on my bathroom door). However, if the door opened in towards the bathroom (it's a pretty small bathroom) I would think it is too big. But heck, if you keep a robe on the hook most of the time, it's usually covered up.

I have the whole ashfield collection in the bathrooms of my house and this is a great addition to the collection. I have panel doors so it was a bit tight mounting this to the top of the door and having it clear the door jam while staying usable. This was an issue with the door, not the hook. Installation is simple. The circular plug on the front pops off and has a screw behind it that mounts the hook to the bracket. Two screws hold the bracket to the wall/door and allow rotation to get it aligned properly.I am on amazon today to buy a couple more of these in satin nickel to put in my bedrooms so I am definitely a repeat buyer.

This matched our bathroom, since we have a Pfister Ashfield towel ring, vanity light, & toilet paper holder. When we first saw it, we thought the hook was horridly ugly, but it definitely grew on us. It looks great in the bathroom and is definitely not offensive in any way! Plus, like the other Pfister Ashfield products we've purchased, the quality is excellent - very well constructed!
