This has the cool retro look of a water pump. It's very easy to install because it's a single lever and has easy-to-use clips. The finish is nice as well. This faucet makes an impression!

However, there are a few caveat emptors:

1) I have a wide sink, so there's not much room between the back of the sink and the backsplash. Thus, the back of the handle will hit the backsplash every time it's turned on. I have a 6" backsplash though, so it may clear a 4". If you have more room behind your sink, this might not be a problem for you.
2) Although I removed both intake filters and the aerator, this still puts out VERY LOW volume of water. It's just for washing hands, so it's adequate for that purpose, but it won't be filling buckets of water any time soon. The hot/cold intake water supplies have a narrow opening which restricts water flow. There is no way to replace these, as they are permanently affixed to the faucet.
3) The faucet outlet is horizontal, such that water will pool and not drain off completely. If you have hard water, you'll eventually get a stalagmite if you don't periodically wipe this off.
4) The finish will spot compared to a Moen Spot Resist. I've got several Moen's with Spot Resist, and that finish is super easy to wipe off and the Spot Resist makes a noticeable difference. PP and others don't have such a competing finish yet, so they will spot more easily.

Recommended if you're willing to live with the limitations listed above. It's not for everyone, but I like it.

I purchased this faucet after seeing the same model in the bathroom in a nearby office building. The look is so unique that I just had to find one like it. I was happy to find that they are manufactured by Price Pfister and readily available. We had a plumber install it, mostly because I couldn't get the old faucet off. I'm pretty sure I could have installed this one once the other one was removed because the instructions were clear and it didn't look complicated. We had a wide spread faucet before with the center piece and a faucet on each side. I bought a bronze soap dispenser to fill the spot where one of the old faucets had been and put a flat hole plug on the other side.

I'm a bit puzzled at a couple comments here by other reviewers about lack of water pressure with this faucet. I don't see any difference in the water flow between this and my old faucet. There is a nice strong stream when it's turned on all the way or smaller stream that you can adjust as you bring the lever forward. I wonder if it appears to be a smaller stream because the spout is wider than some faucets and you can watch it moving over a larger space? I'm completely happy with the design and function.

I ended up replacing our towel bar, toilet paper holder and towel hook for the guest towel because our old faucet was chrome with gold trim and the fixtures were the same. I was happy to find that Price Pfister had matching pieces in the Ashfield line and that I could order them here on Amazon: Price Pfister BTB-YP2U Ashfield 24" Single Towel Bar, Rustic Bronze,

I bought the faucets about 2 years ago -- a pair of them for the master bathroom. They look awesome, and I have now a matching light valance on the wall in the same design.

But, a previous poster mentioned water pressure. It's true, you won't get a strong stream. It will come out more like a slow waterfall, but I think it's the way it was designed. I also live in a hard water area, very hard from the Edwards Aquifer. I'm routinely using a lime scale remover to remove white lime deposits from the spout. But the look is still awesome once I clean it up again.

I delayed installing these for awhile. I finally got them on 90 days ago or so. Everything was fine. It took some getting used to the flow, but I actually liked it after awhile. then the hot water turned to a trickle on the one my wife used. I ended up switching hot and cold lines and that appeared to help. then it happened again and the same thing started happening on the one I have been using. The hot water is unusable on both now.
I will contact the manufacturer and see if there is something I can do to avoid the PIA of replacing them. Update as of 1/20/2012. manufacturer told me to clean and replace the screens on the faucet intake lines. This would have required removing the faucets (Based on the space I had) being an innovative guy and lazy also, I got out my handy multipurpose tool, selected the leather punch and poked holes in all four screens. Probably not the ideal way to handle it, especially if you have new construction and possible crap in the lines. In any event the flow is now great and problem solved. Moved back to four star. I would suggest addressing this before you install yours.

This faucet looks unique and I get plenty of flow from both of mine but there is a design flaw. The spout is essentially flat so water is left standing in the trough. If you have hard water, which plenty of people have, you are left with a constant buildup of unsightly white hardwater scale which is a PITA to remove. This problem could easily have been avoided if the spout was given the appropriate pitch to drain all of the water. Plumbing fixtures should be designed by plumbers, not interior decorators.

Hi Dr. D,
Hard water can definitely be a pain to deal with, and we're very sorry that your faucet is experiencing some build up. A few simple tip from our consumer services team may be able to help. First, a quick wipe down after using can help to negate the build up of hard water in your trough. Second, a 50/50 solution of distilled white vinegar and water can help to eliminate any build up that already exists. Of course, your faucet is also backed by our Pforever Warranty, protecting is against any finish or mechanical defects for as long as you own your home. If you have any other questions, or need any other help with your Ashfield Faucet, please give us a call at 1-800-732-8238.
Thank you,
Pfister
