Product Description

The Echelon's five double-shielded stainless steel ball bearings provide smooth casts, while a one-way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing eliminates backplay in the handle. Other highlights of the Echelon are: lightweight, one-piece graphite body and rotor; machined aluminum spool and handle with soft touch knob; anti-twist line roller; and a Sure-Click bail. The lightweight, sensitive IM6 graphite spinning rod has durable stainless steel framed guides with aluminum oxide inserts, top-grade cork grip, lightweight graphite reel seat with stainless steel cushioned hoods and a stainless steel doublefoot hook keeper.

I HAD CHOSEN TO PURCHASE THIS COMBO FROM BASS PRO SHOP AS I HAD READ THE REVIEWS AND IT WAS WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. AS I PURCHASE FREQUENTLY FROM AMAZON, I DECIDED TO SEE IF THIS ITEM WAS AVAILABLE. TO MY SURPRISE IT WAS, AND AT THE SAME PRICE; ONLY DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY TAXES AND SHIPPING AND WAS USING IT IN TWO DAYS!!!!! JUST CAME BACK FROM VACATION WHERE I WAS ABLE TO TRY IT OUT. IT IS VERY SMOOTH WITH THE 6 BALL BEARINGS, AND WITH THE 6'6" MEDIUM ROD IT WAS A GREAT COMBO WHETHER I WAS CATCHING BASS OR CRAPPIE.
