Haven't used this yet but it looks and feels well made (in China, unfortunately). This is part of a 3lb outfit (an American-made 5' UL St. Croix rod being the other part) and its worth will finally be decided by its drag smoothness. Like any of the tiny spin reels, a lot is being asked of a very, very small set of drag washers. We'll see and I'll update this review at some point. Comes with a second spool. Seems like a lot of reel for a very small amount of money.

I use this reel with my collapsible, 6 1/2 foot travel rod. Usually, it catches trout quite well! Occassionally, it's put to use on perch, bluegill, crappie, and a light bass. Has good firm action, casts well, and it really light. A pleasure to use!

I put 15lb. braid on it (4lb. mono equivalent) and used it on a shimano volteaus ultra light rod to catch common carp with a small hook and loaf bread. The rod bent completely over under the weight of the carp (3 to 4 pounders) but the reel works great. It cranked those big carps right out of the lake without a hitch.
