I bought this reel when my last one crapped out. Pflueger is a well known respected brand and I wanted a high quality ultralight spinner with ball bearings, of which it comes with 6. It's very smooth to cast and reel, well balanced in my hand, and should last a long time with proper care.

Nice reel, price seemed right, but I couldn't do any comparative shopping in my area as ultralight gear is uncommon.

this is the second one of these ive bought becasue i love them!!!! whenever you get a strike theres no slack in the reel and it is as smooth as a dream when reeling in. not to mention the drag sytem it clicks and that way you can remember hmm bigger fish 2 clicks to the left...i love this reel

I use this reel primarily with 6# line fishing for bass. Its been great and I have now been using it for 3 seasons... no sign of it slowing down. The reel and drag are as smooth as butter... would recommend to anyone!

i have fished with this reel 6 times,and the line winder stop working.when the drag is lowered the spool just spins around and no line is going on the spool.spend a little more money and go with the president.
