I am using my 9/10 president as a spey reel, Pflueger has always made great stuff at a resonable price and these reels are no exception, I also own about 6 Pflueger fly reels and have never had one problem with any of them, I fish them very hard and they stand up to tons of abuse and keep on reelin, you just cannot beat them for value or performance.

Nice looking reel and works well most of the time. There were two ocassions, however, when the spool fell out of the reel.

I bought the 2090 model and loaded it with 300 yds of 40lb. power pro braid as backing and S/A wf8 floating fly line. This is a great reel. Drag works super and it looks good too. Got it at a great price too. I have four other Pflueger fly reels and haven't had a problem with any of them.
